shatterproofed​:

The brunette smiled as he said that he always found a way, unable to help but think of how adorable he was when he smiled wider and brighter. As the two of them walked toward his house, she smiled brightly as Charlie turned his head and kissed her temple. It was such a sweet gesture, and god if this guy wasn’t going to kill her with all the little things he was doing. “Almost,” she said with a smile. The two of them approached his place a few minutes later and she waited to be let inside before heading in, turning to face him once they were through the door. 

He was a pretty intimate person, he was definitely the kind of person to give small bits of affection - even when it was meant to be a one night stand type deal. He’d never been great at those and he wasn’t sure why he kept trying because he usually ended up in situations like these. Not that he was complaining, not ever - he was just really bad at one night stands. Once they were inside, Charlie toed off his shoes and smiled. “Take a seat, I’m gonna get us a drink, alright?” He definitely needed a drink, he was suffering with a new hellish kind of dry mouth.

“Perfect!” Beatriz takes his arm, looping hers through it with ease. “What’s your favorite exhibit there? I always liked the jellyfish, they’re really neat. I don’t really understand how they, like, exist, but that’s what makes them so cool.” It’s only a couple blocks from them, so walking it will be easy.

Ollie laughs softly and gently pats her hand once her arm has looped through his. “I dunno - I kinda like all of them. I just think fish are cool.” It’s true, though, that jellyfish are pretty cool. They have nice colours and the way they move is mind boggling. “I like watching them swim in the water, it’s pretty cool. Especially when they get fed, how they pop up and shit - it’s funny.”

aftermathed​:

          Temperance sighs very dramatically, but does let go. She pouts as she leans her chin on her hands, as if Hazel has just ruined her life rather than just insisted she needs her hands. “Happy now?” Some people are just so needy. Especially the people who need their lives saved all over the place.

         It’s a very dramatic sound but it still makes Hazel laugh and she uses her now free hand to gently boop the tip of Tem’s nose. “That’s much better. Now I can use my hands to do stuff like that.” Her grin is bright and playful, hands reaching out to squeeze Tem’s gently, thumbs rubbing over the skin. “I will hold your hand plenty when I’m done with work, okay?”

aftermathed​:

           Anguish does make a bit of a noise of complaint, but it isn’t much. They inspect the dressing once it’s on, and then Anguish gives them a bright little smile. ‘Thank you.’ It’s really more helpful than they would have expected a stranger to be, in a lot of ways. ‘You’re really sweet.’

          Rory’s own smile is bright and joyful, happy to have helped someone in need. Especially when they’re injured like that. Of course! I always carry first aid just in case. You never know, you know? Smile never fades. Do you want to get a drink with me? So I can make sure your bandage isn’t bleeding.
