Eochu VI Airem succeeded to the throne of the High Kingdom of Ireland after the death of his brother, Eochu Feidlech, and ruled for twelve or fifteen years.

The Lebor Gabála synchronizes his reign with the dictatorship of Julius Caesar (48-44 BC). Geoffrey Keating's Foras Feasa ar Éirinn chronology dates his reign between 82 and 70 BC, while the Annals of the Four Masters places it between 131 and 116 BC.

Joan of England (1321-1362) was the first wife and queen consort of David II of Scotland. Their marriage was childless and apparently loveless.

She was born in the Tower of London and was the youngest daughter of Edward II of England and Isabella of France.
