It seems that none of my other botany students have done the homework, so this is a reminder that as this was your first assignment, those that failed to do it currently have a failing grade in my class.

here's my assignment, Miss Erika! I finished early.

Very good Brendan! However, I noticed you have this noted as Maurandya barclayana when in fact I believe this is a flower from the Brugmansia genus. Oh, but this is very easy mistake to make as both flowers have the same common name, so I will not deduct any points.

You are correct that it is poisonous, so I hope you did not eat any of it. Also, I must say that while this plant is hallucinogenic, its effects are much like a terrible nightmare, and it is fatal in quite small doses. 

I will be adding five points to your grade for your prompt work.

His face turned redder when she asked him to come in. Did things always move this fast oh Arceus. He smiled at her and presented the lilies to her. “Erika I got these for you.” He says with a small smile.

He hands her the flowers as he shook his head, rubbing the back of his head with his palm. 

“Actually Erika, I wanted to ask you something if you’re not busy that is.”

"Oh, how lovely!" She took the flowers from him and brought the milky white flowers to her face, the stamens tickling her nose. "They smell wonderful, thank you."

She turned and opened a cabinet door, searching through a variety of containers until she found a slim glass vase. She filled it with water and placed the lilies in it, careful to snip their stems at an angle to keep them fresh. 

She turns again at the sound of his voice, smiling at his question. "Of course!" She laughs slightly at the suggestion she might be busy, he is too much a gentleman.

I apologize for my absence, I was asked by an authority on the similarities between plants and grass pokemon to collect samples in a recently discovered forest.

I will be granting an extension on this homework until June 1st, when I return. Any homework turned in after that date will result in a lower grade.

Here's your first written homework, Botany class...

You will be drawing a detailed diagram of a species native to this area, preferably not one from the school flowerbeds. Along with the drawing, I expect its scientific name and a description of the area you found it in. 

Remember, this is not art class, so I will be grading on accuracy rather than artistry. 

 Due May 25, although you may turn it in here earlier to receive extra credit.

Brock paced back and forth, He had been outside her door way for a few moment contemplating on the right things to say. He held a bouquet of flowers behind his back. Lilies they called or something. He stood and breath before knocking.

Knock Knock

His face was red as he waited for her to open the door, Hopefully she was there. He unwrinkled the little coat he was wearing out of nervousness hoping to somehow distract himself. 

“A-ah…Erika its Brock.”

Hmm...? Erika looked up from her book on the diversification of leaf nodes in epiphytes. Who could that be? She put down her book, careful to save her place with a pressed H. paivae leaf.

Before she opened the door, she carefully ran a hand down her skirt, smoothing out any wrinkles. Finally ready, she opened the door.

"Brock! I knew you had to show up some time!" She paused when she heard him stutter, but then laughed, and opened the door wider. "Do you want to come in?"  Whatever was making him act this way, she certainly wanted to know what it was.

Oh, is the trip to the beach really cancelled? 　What a shame, I was looking forward to it...

Oh, I slept through the tour and the kimono girls... I can't believe I did that...

I'm all packed for the trip! I am very excited about being a chaperone, although I hope I don't have to discipline anyone...

Excellant work Brendan! If you keep this up you will have an outstanding grade in my class. I understand that taking a full grown pea plant on the trip would be a bit silly... Why don't you give it to Looker? I'm sure he would be very pleased to get such a gift.

It sure took a lot of work - who knew some of those boxes were so heavy, but the room was finally ready. Tiny vines nestled next to a tiny strawberry plant reached for a wooden terrace against the windows, and a large and rather sinister looking small tree sat in a ceramic pot in the corner. Five tiny pots illustrated the various stages of a daisy - not Erika's favorite, but it was hard to show the stages of plant growth with the types of gnarled and usually poisonous plants she preferred. Finally, pinned above the blackboard were two posters, one a cross section of a tree, and the other detailing the differences between plant Pokemon and actual plants.

All that was left was to mop her Gloom's drool trail... He was pretty good at carrying stuff, but he sure was messy. Fortunately he wasn't tall enough to drool on the desks. After scrubbing the floor to hide any sign of Pokemon activity, she wrote a note on the board.

Class starts at 10 AM tomorrow

You will be learning the stages of growth through an interactive experiment - growing a pea plant. Students attending the trip will be expected to take their plant with them. Any plant death before adulthood with result in a failing grade.

Go! It’d be a great way to get to know some of the students! Speaking of which, when is class going to start?

Oh, I hadn't thought of that... It certainly would be a good way to get to know the students. 

I have never seen such enthusiastic students before! I thought the lot of you would enjoy some time off. I was planning on moving everything in tomorrow, but if I am going to chaperone, I guess I had better hurry. I don't want to leave a mess...

Why don’t you attend as a chauffeur or supervisor? I’m certain there would be plenty of space available!

I've been thinking about it, but I am new here. I'm sure that teachers with seniority will be given first pick, besides, I would not want to take anyones spot...

Oh, that trip the school is offering sounds so delightful. What a shame... If I were just a few years younger I could go. The responsible thing to do would be to stay and prepare my classroom but I would certainly be a logical guide for Celadon City... I wonder if they need any chaperones...
