Cubs @ Brewers today, Bottom of the 8th Inning and Manny Corpas just allowed the Brewers to tie up the game:
Dad: Fuck
Dad: I'm going back to work
Me: right
Me: thats what happens when you bring a corpse in to pitch ... err Corpas even
Dad: theres a difference?
Me: at this point, not really
Ain’t it the truth …
Yes ... it is!

Stupidity at the Pump
By now, I'm guessing most everyone has paid for gas with their Debit/Credit card, at the pump. Whoever programs these things needs to be slapped. Picture this, if you will:
Screen Prompts:
<-- Press Here for Credit | Press Here for Debit -->
For cash, please go inside
-------------------------------
I choose credit and swipe my card, the next prompt states the following:
Is this Debit [Y/N]

WTF! We covered this already!
The coolest town of all time is about to be built, and no one will live in it. A scientific ghost town that cost a billion dollars will soon be built in New Mexico as a testing ground for futuristic technologies. It won’t only look futuristic like this accidental ghost town, it actually will be. The city, which will be built in Lea County, will test everything from intelligent traffic systems to next-generation wireless networks. A rendering of it is above.

Who Knew I Had Fans ...
Not me, that's for sure.
It was practice day at the neighborhood bowling alley. I walked in at the tail end of an elementary school field trip, got my lanes and got myself ready. I setup my mp3 player, cranked some tunes and got to bowling. When I have my music going, it helps me concentrate and drowns out the surrounding noises. Turns out it drowned out a bowling alley full of 2nd graders cheering on my every throw. When all was said and done and it was time to pay, I was asked what I thought about my cheering section. With a dumbstruck look on my face, the woman behind the counter proceeded to fill me in on the cheers I'd get for every strike and the moans I'd get for missing my spares. I never even realized they were watching me bowl, and they were gone right before I finished practicing. Now, I feel bad for not acknowledging my new found fans.
42!
Have you ever asked someone a simple question, requiring an even simpler answer, and they look at you like you asked them for the meaning of life?
Slow News Day?
It's amazing that Chicago Bears news is so limited ... at the END OF MAY!
Is baseball news so bad around Chicagoland? The Cubs finally break a huge losing streak and the White Sox are one of the hottest teams in baseball. But, somehow, Jenny McCarthy confirming she is dating Brian Urlacher passes for news?!?!
Seriously, why should I care who he's bonking this week ...
You almost wish you could chalk this up to a REALLY bad day. But, you have to give credit where its due, that was just plain stupid!
New Surroundings ...
The idea of moving my self-hosted WordPress blog to tumblr has crossed my mind on more than one occasion. If I ever plan on really doing it, figured it was time to sign up for an account and see for myself how this place looks and works.
So far, not too bad. Now, time to do some more research to see if its possible to migrate my posts from WordPress to tumblr. So, if you see posts earlier than this one from me, I made the plunge into tumblrland.
