I found this a while ago! Simply take out my username and put your tumblr username in its place in the URL and you’ll be able to surf through your blog via post type using the dropdown menu in the top center of the page.

I’m an idiot who doesn’t tag my music so I like using for finding songs.

Pema: I have to say, though, I am exhausted. Four children, one of them a newborn, and Tenzin’s been so busy with his work lately… Tenzin: I wish I weren’t. But things have been hectic — with the remaining Equalists, a fugitive ex-council member, and the rest of the council in a panic over the recent uprisings… it’s chaos. so here's the deal with the giveaway:

i can't see the notes on my giveaway post. i have contacted tumblr support about this issue, but i'm not sure how long it'll take for them to correct this. if worse comes to worst, i do have some notifications on the tumblr app that my phone has cached. unfortunately, i only have about 90-100 notes there.

i'm not sure why this is happening, but my suspicion is that tumblr has marked some of my notes as "spam" internally, since there have been a few people aggressively reblogging the post. (i'm talking, dozens of times consecutively.) i would ask that if you have already reblogged it that many times, that you please STOP. you already have a hugely disproportionate number of entries.

that said, i really appreciate everyone who has helped me promote the giveaway and who has participated in the survey. my assignment is complete and i'm grateful to all of you.

i will go forward with the giveaway. i'm just waiting to see what tumblr can do to help me.

due to an overwhelming like of my use of textures on my caps blog i decided to make a texture masterpost for anyone interested. this includes where i learned about textures and sites where there are an abundance of textures (ones i use most often).

tutorials

google is always going to be your best friend when you need to know how to do something in photoshop. yeah, i know it’s kind of stupid recommending google but i don’t care. 

psdtuts - this site is probably the most popular and coincidentally the most useful. i would check out the video tutorials because those are how i learned how to do most of what i know.

flickr tutorial - this tutorial is the same approach i go about editing caps. it’s very different but the steps are the same.

psdlearning - another site like psdtuts but not as popular (at least i don’t think it is)

i really wish i could add more sites here but (and i hate to be one of these people) i just experimented until i got something that looked halfway decent. the only advice i feel like i can give to people is download all the textures ever and work with them.

these are ones that i use most often, it is not limited to.

first and foremost i suggest searching through deviantart, flickr and livejournal. there are amazing people out there with a lot of things to offer. 

fuckyeahresources - honestly go here and download everything (if you think “but i’d never use that texture!”, you probably will later on then again i hoard textures so maybe you shouldn’t take my advice.)
