I wanted to wait until prom was over to do this, I guess that time is now :( I'm really sorry guys, but work is just so hectic, and so stressful, and I don't have time to do anything (literally, sometimes it takes me 3 or 4 days to respond to an email :( ). If things settle down for me, or I find a job that leaves me less... ragged... I'll come back, for sure, but for now, it's unfair for me to hog two characters I don't even have time to look at :( That said, I'm going to be dropping Gem and Stone.

Thank you guys for everything, AMR has been like a family to me, I'm so glad that I met you all, and I hope one day to return less sleep deprived and burned out ;n; *HUG*

((Hey guys, sorry I've been so quiet and not around much lately, a lot going on in my life. I'm going to be better at this though :| If it's the last thing I do))

If you could be smaller for a day, what things would you do?

Where do I even start?! First, I would go on every ride, swing, slide, bouncy castle, etc. I could find! After that, I would try and ride a horse, I think... um... I think if I get smaller I wouldn't be as heavy... if not, then I don't think the horse would like me very much :(

Hey Gyro! I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't really seen anyone. Things have been kinda crazy around here lately, even more than normal.

I have a lot of collections! Collecting things is a hobby of mine, I like giving them away as gifts even more though.

Uh oh... I can't find the suit Saturn got me. Anyone want to make a trip to the dump with me?

That jump couldn’t mean good news. And neither did that hesitant stammering. While there were many possible events that could have happened to that poor old doll, all of them were bad in Saturn’s head. Especially since he was the one who restored that doll.

"Complications?" Saturn’s tone was still, yet the hand that held the milkshake was shaking. "What…sort of ‘complications’?" There goes maintaining a jovial mood…

Stone groaned a little, he'd hidden her in the hopes that he could fix her before Saturn found out,but that didn't seem like it was going to happen. Well, time to fess up. "It was an accident! I've been a lot more careful, but sometimes these things just happen..."

He got up from his spot and went over to the corner, pulling a large shoebox out from its hiding spot carefully. With a sigh, he brought it back to the table, opening it up to reveal Dolly, whose head was no longer attached to the body, not for a lack of effort. It was obvious that Stone had been trying to reattach it through varying means, none of them very successful.

"See? She's in the doll hospital, she needs surgery. I brushed her hair too hard one day, and that was that." He admitted, remorseful.

That got him going; Saturn could only shake his head behind Stone as the latter returned to the milkshake. As much as he wanted to tell the Earthling to focus on the things he did, that wasn’t an advice that’s going to stick for a long time. He’d be wasting his breath.

As he waited, and since the book was practically off-limits until he gets his summary, Saturn looked around Stone’s room, looking for something to pass the time by with. Then he remembered something…

When Stone returned with the strawberry milkshake, Saturn took the glass and drank some as the Earthling gave him a rather short description. Never mind, he thought to himself; he’ll just read the whole damn thing later. Right now, his attention was taken by something else.

"I can already tell, even from a mile away." Saturn replied as his eyes trailed to the shelves far from them. "Where’s Dolly?"

Stone wait quietly while Saturn tasted the milkshake, in case it was terrible and he had to start over. He seemed to be enjoying it, however. It was nice to know that he hadn't lost his touch with it. It seemed things had finally settled down, which was good. He breathed a sigh of relief, relaxing a little, then jumped when Saturn asked him where Dolly was.

"Oh... um... Dolly's uh... she's well... er.... kinda at the doll hospital..." he explained hesitantly. "She experienced some uh... complications the last time I brushed her hair, see...."

Complications was a severe understatement, he'd decapitated the poor thing trying to get a knot out.

Stone was right in pulling his hand back before he lost it; Saturn was already thinking of the very same thing if the Earthling didn’t let him continue reading in the next second. The Stardroid watched, looking at Stone with deadly silence as the latter turned his attention to the gifts Saturn had given him.

Oh, dear. That wasn’t going to account for good luck this cycle. Saturn sighed as he closed the handmade book and said, “Never do that again. However, I will forgive you if you provide me with a summary for this book.”

"…And to answer your question, I’m actually getting impatient waiting for that strawberry milkshake you said you were going to make for me."

With almost a squeak, Stone got up quickly and returned to the milkshake, looking more flustered than ever. "O-okay... after the milkshake, then.."

He worked hard to make the drink look as appealing as possible, hoping to impress the stardroid. Finally content with it, he brought it over to the table, nudging it over to Saturn and sitting back down again.

"Well, there aren't any fairy tales about robots or aliens, so I made one." he explained, rather matter-of-fact. "I drew all the pictures for it too, though you can probably guess that one."

It was a little habit Saturn had formed after he introduced himself to Earthling literature. While some of the fiction novels were a delight to read, some began to feel rather repetitive and bland the more books he read. Eventually, he’d started looking at the epilogues first to see if the end would motivate him enough to actually read the whole book and not look for another.

Saturn had barely even started to read the first line when a massive hand suddenly blocked his view, followed by that grating voice. His ears quivered in irritation as Stone practically yelled at him to stop reading. What? How dare he?!

“You—-” Saturn looked up to stare at Stone straight into the eye, his red eyes starting to light up in annoyance. “—-do not tell me how I must read a book!” he hissed, not minding Stone’s words or even the smile on the Earthling’s face.

Oops, that had been an awful idea. Stone pulled his hand back before he lost it, clearing his throat and sitting down by him. "Sorry, I just didn't want you to see the end yet." He bumbled, embarrassed. "Of course you can read it however you want," He poked at his present idly, not wanting to say the wrong thing and invoke Saturn's wrath. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in a long time."

Stone smiled at Saturn sheepishly, not daring to tell him he’d suspected this may happen, he just really wanted to have fun with Saturn. Being the big clumsy guy really sucked sometimes. “I-I try to be possible, promise!” He squawked as he suddenly came free, ‘dragged’ back to the shore with his feet just barely touching the ground.

"Well.. um… that was fun!" He tried, sighing and giving a rather guilty stare at the late. The surface was a mess now, so much for that. "I didn’t think it would be quite that bad!"

"You keep saying that to little effect! What will I ever do about you?" Saturn muttered in reply, rubbing his temples as he hopped through his Ring again, his skates getting replaced by shoes. Skating was impossible now with the cracked ice.

With a disappointed pout, Saturn took one more look at the lake before turning his attention to Stone; he didn’t look happy. “Well, now that ice skating is out of the way, I certainly hope you have other plans for today!”

Stone smiled jovially at Saturn, internally freaking out. He had literally nothing else planned. He knew he shouldn't have got on the ice. He tried to think fast, not one of his stronger traits, then chuckled amiably.

"Raincheck?" He offered, bracing himself for Saturn's wrath

The card, much like the entirety of the gift, was homemade. Inside, scrawled in Stone’s awkward handwriting as he’d held onto a marker far smaller than his hand: ‘To Saturn: I made us stuff to do together because you get bored.’ Inside the wrapping was an old Monopoly game which had been repurposed into a board game of Stone’s own creation, and a book the fifth gen had written and illustrated himself. Unlike Saturn’s bear, it was quite obvious that this had been homemade, paper had been cut unevenly, and taped over the original board, and Stone’s handwriting left things to be desired… not to mention the book had been haphazardly stapled together. But it was obvious that he’d put a lot of time and energy into it.

Compared to Saturn’s handcrafted gift, Stone’s gift was…somewhat lacking in regards to the Stardroid’s taste. Still, it’s the thought that counted, or as the saying went. Saturn did have to wonder why Stone haven’t bothered upgrading his motor drives so he could write properly. Or searched for a bigger writing instrument. That handwriting was like deciphering a hidden coded message!

Well, Stone was right in mentioning how easily Saturn gets bored. Based on what Saturn had managed to read, that is.

He set the card down onto the table and then started undoing the gift’s wrappings by carefully peeling off whatever tape or fastenings the Earthling had used; he might accidentally rip off a part of the actual gift. Whatever it is.

It turned out to be…It looked like something a young child had made, something that was Saturn was very familiar with by now. Handmade gifts made by children came with his position after all.

The board game looked workable, but he’d have to look at the rules (if any) before he could judge it in full. Setting that aside, Saturn turned his attention to the handmade book. He flipped through the pages, seemingly checking the quality of the work…and immediately went to the last few pages of the book to read.

Stone, meanwhile, was giving Saturn encouraging smiles, as he watched Saturn flip through the book. "Well? What do you think? Pretty cool, huh? It's like an old- AAAAAAAH NO CHEATING!" He slapped a hand down on the page, blocking Saturn's view. "You have to read the whole thing, it's worth it! I know it's not the best looking book or anything, but it's pretty cool. You can take it home and read it if you don't have time now." "Um... thanks for the present again.. it's pretty amazing." He smiled at the gifts he'd gotten, Saturn was really the best at this sort of thing.

Apparently not.

At the first ‘CRACK’, Saturn had immediately hopped up to sit on his Ring, floating in safety. When he saw that Stone was still going to go on further out onto the ice, despite the fact that the ice couldn’t support his weight, he couldn’t help but facepalm. Then again, common sense wasn’t one of the Earthling’s strong points, the Stardroid remembered.

"Oh, good Heavens…STOP! Do not take another step!" Saturn shouted at Stone as he floated over to where the Earthling is. He reached out with his hand towards Stone and said, "Give me your hand. And be quick about it!"

When Saturn shouted at him, Stone stopped moving, standing still and looking embarrassed. “Sorry! I’m too heavy…” Sometimes, the body he was in sure was inconvenient. A lot of his hobbies and the things he wanted to try would be a lot easier if he weren’t so clunky and awkward.

He reached out carefully, red-faced, and grabbed onto the stardroid’s hand, flattered since he knew Saturn wasn’t big on touching.

"Ugh, you knew that for a fact and still you persisted on stepping onto the ice?!" Saturn hissed in annoyance as he took a firm hold onto Stone’s hand (adding his other hand as the Earthling’s hand was bigger than his own). "You are impossible!" he continued as he started pulling the other up and out of the broken ice.

It’d look like a strange sight having a huge hulking (and clunky) man being pulled out of the hole by someone half his mass with little effort. Of course, having Saturn’s Ring provide them with a little extra ‘lift’ helped.

Grumbling, Saturn got Stone back to the lake shore as putting him on the now-damaged ice would only cause a repeat. “And now what? The ice is ruined!” he said, not too happy as he unceremoniously dropped the Earthling onto a snowbank.
