âIt really has been! I mean, itâs sorta been my fault, too.
And Iâm sorry for that, Iâm so sorry!â She insisted, nodding
   her head with vigor.Â
In truth, Scarlet hadnât been sociable with much of anyone
recently, something hugely unlike her, though she couldnât
help but worry that âunsocialâ was her new normalâŚ
Pulling herself from those thoughts, however, the Pryde daughter
had to actively force herself to focus on the conversation at hand. The
mention of some elusive âthing,â though, had the blonde BURSTINGÂ
   with excitement.Â
                     âYou â- Made Rini something?
                     I completely forgot about that!
                     Thank you, so so much!â
Her baby blues were now bright and alight, and she couldnât refrain from
bouncing in spot. Elijah was so nice, so, incredibly nice, and she didnât DESERVE
someone like him as her friend.
âSo do I finally get to know what it is?!â She squeaked.
The second Scarlet began to blame herself, Eli shook his head.Â
âNo need to apologize when youâre not to blame, Scarlet.â He didnât want
her to feel guilty over something that he couldâve also fixed earlier.Â
Besides in his mind it didnât matter who was to blame.
As long as they hung out now and reconnected it didnât
seem to be a problem to him. He of all people understood
the need for space and being alone for a while.
Her sudden burst of excitement had Elijah stumbling back a bit,
still not completely used to her energy levels. But he still smiled fondly at her
response. The way her eyes lit up and how she bounced before speaking again--
How could he not smile?
âYeah, the secret is out of the bag..well box now.â
He nearly chuckled at his own joke, but busied himself with
opening the box behind him instead. âItâs supposed to be a
crib-bed hybrid thing...I didnât think of a cool name for it yet.â
      Â
Truth of the matter as he had never built something like that before,
or really needed to. But when he saw that Scarletâs child was growing he figured
that it couldnât hurt to try. He only hoped that it wouldnât be too weird of a gift.Â
âI just got to reassemble it so I can show you how it works, but it should be
able to adjust to Riniâs size until sheâs about six years old.â
