i may color this at some point, i want to at least color her face and make it my icon on deviantart/ao3/on this blog. this was actually supposed to be a sketch, which is why it’s only about 8″x5″ (started out 10″x10″, expecting to fill it up with different poses), haha oops

So! Uriel, for straygodess and our art trade, part 1: reference

Uriel is one of the many characters in the story I am composing (which at first I wanted it to be a comic but then it turns out writing is so much easier than drawing lolz) 

the key color is red for hair and wings (think fire) 

gender wise, things are a little complicated! in her earlier days she was she was described in masculine terms but once she merged with a human (Jacob I believe) Uriel's sense of identity somewhat flipped around. at the same time she is a seraphim (hence the reptilian eyes), cherubim, and archangel. as such she is able to change her form. note: the gender bit is not a canon thing 

personality wise, she's not too much of a talker, and isn't too into the whole socializing thing and prefers to carry out her duties. she is incredibly ruthless (a quote from researching "those who have blasphemed the way of righteousness will be hung by their tongues. Spread under them is an unquenchable fire so the cannot escape it"). she has a bit of an obsession with fire, and when losing her temper which is pretty often, she goes completely nuts with it

fashion wise, she tends to wear 20th century fashions and enjoys tall sharp heels (generally booties and boots). the fashion is representative of the 1900s because it is described as the most violent era in history! 

likes: fire, enforcing order, Enoch (Uriel's strongest bond is with her), carrying out her duties dislikes: most of humankind (not as much after merging with one), the Watchers, free time food: spice, spice everywhere. indian food is definitely a favorite (food is not a necessity though)

likes to pretend that she is japanese (is not, only born there) so japanese fashion is ok

likes feminine clothes, heart prints, red, pink, pale blue colors

rarely, if ever wears high heels, is around 170cm, long legs daisy dukes
