My fav type of gain is a regain when a guy who was big decides he’s gonna hit the gym, start tracking calories, really trying to reach that cut athlete look. Totally succeeds too!! He’s lean with abs and defined arms, hes reached his goal so it’s okay to loosen up on that diet right? Maybe having more “cheat meals”, missing one or two sessions at the gym. But those old fatty habits are hard to escape, food is always in the back of his mind, he’s weak against his old cravings. The cheat meals start occurring a few times a week, then once a day, then multiple times a day. Next thing he knows those and are starting to get harder to see, the defined jaw line is softening, he’s outgrowing his new clothes. In only a few months the weight is piling back on. His old jiggly gut is back and with a vengeance. He’s fatter than before with a heavy belly hang and flabby arms, even a thick double chin. He can’t fight his body’s desire to be so fat. A quick dopamine rush from a greasy burger feels way better than willpower. Just keeps getting fatter and fatter. The people around him whisper about how he blew up again, he’s back to his old lazy self. And now it’ll be even more work to lose the regain and all the extra weight! Once a fatty, always a fatty
