I have heard that the battles in Pandaria are still raging on and I now believe that it is time I take my things and make way to be of some help. I have done all that I can for those still trying to keep the Alliance at bay. A new trainee can handle this task. That being said, I have assigned a few to my position and have begun making the preparations to backpack through Pandaria. It will be quite the endeavor, but I am excited.
I will need to gather enough herbs from the lands here and find a guide that has seen part of those lands, if not in full. First on the list was ink and quills. One can not write without such tools, after all.
In my wandering of the City, I ran into an old friend of mine. Wisco. A Tauren with the most free mind I have known. Excentric, but kind. He was at his usual antics again and approached a man to see if he would play along. I was quick to intervene, however, as this gentleman looked to be a serious sort.
His name was Daibhi. An 'Official' tour guide, as it were. He seemed more like a licensed flirt, if you ask me. He even went as far as to assume I was a sheltered trainee fresh out of classes. Why is this always the image? Note: FIND FRIGHTENING ATTIRE. That will teach them.
I asked him to tell me where the supplies in the city could be found and he was quick to offer assistance. But our journey was halted just as soon as it had begun the moment we passed through Farstriders Square. A group of them called out to Daibhi and I soon was caught up in an Adventure. Perfect!
Ashlynn, the wild one of the bunch, was on the hunt for someone's 'Junk.' I can not lie about this! Though I do believe that she was unsure of what she spoke of. Confirmed only when we all began to snicker. One, in particular, guffawing the most. Rig.
Now that is a Sin'dorei that I have not met in my travels. She has an accent that I can not place and the mouth of a drunken Dwarf.
Not too far off from her was a gentleman by the name of 'Ean.' He seemed kind enough but I could tell that he had a mind that was troubled far too often. He was also the brother of Ash.
One thing leads to another and Ash is telling all of us to change for adventure and meet back in five. Well, I wasn't going to miss a chance to travel with Farstriders or Rangers. After all, I -do- still need a guide. Best to learn how they operate so as not to be of hinderance in the future.
When I returned, I met another member of their team. Aenthius Dawnthorn. This one, I could tell, was a full fledged Farstrider. By his demeanor alone, I could sense he was always on the hunt.
After everyone gathered what they needed, we began our journey! Out to Orgrimmar where we rented wolves and I took Rasane's bike. I -really- hope he doesn't get upset with me about this. We had to walk another short distance to let the wolves rest once we ventured beyond Blade's Edge.
Now, I have not been out this way since before the events of Deathwing. So I did not realize the beauty of the lands that the Druids had begun to take back. I will come back and record accordingly.
When we stopped once more, we had to team up on Wyverns. Ash asked me to ride with Aenthius and he did not seem to mind. However, I did forget to let go when we landed. Still embarrassed about this fact. One of the points about distractions is that everything that they do is destabilizing.
Once everyone arrived, we were on the move again. Aenthius was at the lead through all of this. I am assuming he is the best at this position as everyone else hung back with me.
The stone wall that welcomed us beyond the insect lands was quite the sight. I had enough time then to grab a quick sketch before we stepped within. Ash had mentioned 'Junk' inside that we were in search of. What we found, were live moving statues. And did I mention bugs? Tons of them!
It was quite the journey down to the depths and there were more than enough fights to be had for each of them. At one point, it all got out of hand and I was injured. I covered it in salve and wrapped it clean so there is no need for concern on this. However, Rig was injured worse than I.
A ground worm, of some sorts, burst out of the sand and threw everyone back. She, unfortunately, hit the stone wall not too far off. Once we had slain this large creature, we came to her aid. For some reason, she did not take well to the Light as stated by Ash. So I let Daibhi take the lead.
Ean and his companion left after we stated we could not move her. This is where my concern came in. How does one walk away from an injured member of their team? I could never.
Exhausted now, we are sitting here in our makeshift camp at the back of the hive. I worry that the sand will give way and another worm shall take us out. I will do all that I can to ensure that this is not the case for them. I have sworn myself to protect them but I feel as though -I- am the one being protected.
For he is standing guard over us at the moment and I couldn't feel safer. Because a Farstrider never leaves an open opportunity and....
