Hello, fellow travelers!

This blog documents the wonderful & whimsical travels of Bourbon the bear. Bourbon has gone many places with his companions, and thought he might try sharing his trips with others!

Bourbon believes all have inherent worth & dignity, and expects to see only kindness & joy found in his exchanges with others. He requests you leave him be if that isn't something you can do.

However, he takes great pleasure in hearing your two cents on his journeys! He hopes you enjoy.

Bourbon made a visit to a new place. In time, he hopes it will grow familiar. Much luck to those starting on all types of journeys this season!

Today, Bourbon accompanied a friend back-to-school-shopping. While their primary directive didn’t necessarily apply to him, he still found purpose! A good planner always needs new pencils & erasers.

The wait is long, but Bourbon doesn’t mind. Rather that than risk running late! He endeavors to arrive to his destination soon enough and greet the (hopefully!) sunny skies of California!

Ah, the joys- and concerns- of packing. Standing atop his third bag for the trip, Bourbon is finally prepared for his latest adventure.

He’s off to California! It wouldn’t be his first time, and certainly won’t be his last, but this excursion will be leading him somewhere new. The life of a traveler is exciting, sure, but it is just as filled with strife as it is with grandeur.

As is the recommended routine, he’ll be de-stressing with an early bedtime before he leaves in the morning. He wishes all his fellow travelers safe passage and hopes the same for himself.

Bourbon in fact does have a trip on the agenda! He’s staying at home to host a visit from family first, but he’ll be traveling in California in just a couple months! He’d been debating arriving by car, but eventually elected for air travel as in his opinion, it would mitigate many travel risks, especially if he wanted to arrive on time.

Who knows, perhaps he will encounter you in his travels!

Ah, Hello! Bourbon much appreicates the mail. As told by this blog, he much enjoys travel. Seeing the ways various cultures around the world has always brought him much joy “and a better sense of where he is on this planet.” He happens to love the feel of a good warm bed after a long day as well.

He may not express it often, but he sincerely values a good homecooked meal. There is nothing like food made with love and care. And finally - He enjoy being able to share things with you all! Thank you very much for asking, and for all your support so far!

Ah, what a pleasure it is to return to the solace of your lodgings after a long day. Bourbon’s travels today took him to the Library Of Congress, where he was awed by the archaic records & invaluable historic texts.

This morning, Bourbon prepares to go a ceremony. He puts on his very best in honor of those he loves. Traveling is a good opportunity to reconnect with family, whether the occasion is happy or sad.

To finish off Sunday, Bourbon took a trip to the historic Jefferson memorial. What a joy to be here! While he is here, he intends to reminds you to look at history with as complete a view as possible, not just the one dictated to us.

The first real destination of his trip. After settling in, he decided to venture out into the historic area and go monument hunting! The feeling of cool marble has to be one of his favorites, all across the world.

Bourbon stares out at the tarmac, and admires the industrial expanse. He reminisces about a trip he took to St. Louis, & wishes his fellow fliers safe travels!
