What have we done?
Anna never had a normal childhood. Her "birthright" as a Bane was conditioning and training from the time she could stand until she was deemed ready to begin slaughtering the supernatural. Some may think it was extreme to put a five-year in a room with strangers who try to force intel out of them in order to teach them how to handle similar situations if ever they were to fall into the wrong hands. But in the Crucified that's only where things began. Much like her cousin Scarlett, her family were her closest friends, especially when it came her cousins and siblings. Though as years wore on it seemed all they had in common was the trauma that they all pretended didn't happen in their very basements. Anaa's personality was always one of a leader. She was strong, independent, and outspoken. At least when it came to her being in public. When she was around her parents and the other members of the born hunters group however she was a completely different person. She followed orders without question, she was meek and asked nothing when someone from the council brought up a position on a certain matter. After leaving Beacon Hills when she was nine her training only intensified, she became a model hunter, one of the best of her siblings. Though she had compassion and love for her family and for other humans, she was raised to believe the supernatural were souless killers. And that made killing them that much easier, the hatred and anger that came genetically with being a born hunter mixed with the brainwashing that came with being part of the crucified her and her siblings were part of a killing machine. They learned how to hunt seperately, as well as become of one mind when hunting together. Anna took special interest in knives. She liked the idea of hand to hand combat moreso than guns or long distance weapons. Her brothers teased her, saying it was because she enjoyed the act of killing more than ridding the world of the supernatural, and though she always argued with them she wasn't sure she could disagree. Sometimes Anna would think about all the things she missed out on, late at night she would sit up and wonder what it would have been like to be born in a normal family. One whom didn't lock her in a room with a blood starved vampire, or lock her into a chair and slowly torture her until she cracked timing how long it took. But at the end of the little pity party she threw for herself time and time again she would reassure herself of one thing. She was born for this. This was her destiny. And no matter how much she wanted to resent her family she knew deep down she wouldn't want it any other way. A few months ago she was let in to a council meeting, something very rare in The Crucified's inner circle. It was there she found out what they really did to the supernaturals they were able to subdue and contain. They were doing experiments, trying to form the perfect hunter. One whom could heal much like a werewolf, strength like a vampire, lethal as a combination. Something they could control. They called it a calculated risk, and though she trusted the elders on the council, Anna couldn't help but feel that turning hunters into the monsters that they were hunting was not the answer.
Where has it brought us?
Since returning to Beacon Hills Anna has racked up her number of kills, especially with the countless vampires and Omega werewolves flocking here since the opening of the Hellmouth. She is able to keep up appearances, even enrolling in a few classes at Beacon Hills Community College. She has also tried to reconnect with her cousin Scarlett, with whom she use to be very close with. It seems the years have done a number on both girls, while Scarlett left behind her birthright Anna has embraced it. The blonde doesn't seem to understand why Scarlett has seemingly abandoned this town that seems to need someone of her talent so bad. She's been hiding these feelings behind a fake smile and small talk, but she can't help the resentment boiling up, especially with all these supernatuals around. Part of being a born hunter is feeling a deep rage when supernaturals are present. Recently with everything flocking to Beacon she's finding it harder and harder to control her fits of rage, wondering why he brothers aren't feeling the same difficulty.
Who can we turn to?
○ Scarlett Bane: Scarlett and Anna were best friends when they were younger. Since her return Anna can't help but get the feeling Scarlett is avoiding her, maybe for more reasons then one. Whatever they may be Anna just wants to understand what possessed Scarlett to stop hunting, especially in a town so full of supernaturals. ○ Dawson Crane: Dawson broke Anna's brothers arm a few weeks ago when they first arrived. Though she thinks it was her brothers own stupidity that got him in this mess in the first place and that he's lucky worse didn't happen to him. She's been helping her brother trace Dawson's whereabouts since, and is invested in making sure he doesn't come looking to finish the job with her brother. ○ Daniel Mayer: Daniel and Anna went on a few dates when Anna first came to Beacon, and recently she recently broke it off. Daniel is unaware of the supernatural elements in his town, and as part of her upbringing she's not allowed to tell him about it. This made things very difficult for her and Anna thought she should end it before things got serious.
