OUT OF ARROWS: just straightened my hair and i'm having a nat in catws kind of day so here are some selfies
I became bitter and untouchable. I craved affection but even the mere thought of someone caring made my stomach turn.

❛ She’s my best friend, break her heart, I’ll break your FACE. ❜
B07: Artemis &&. B16: Batgirl
❛ You know at the end of the day, when you close the door and you’re all alone… And you strip off your armor and lower your guard and peel away the MASK… When there’s nobody watching and nothing to hide… And you no longer need to be STRONG or clever or pretty or brave… There’s just you. That’s it. That’s the soul. ❜
bowandarrxw:
“you’re being so MEAN today.” “I’m mean EVERY day.”

❛ forgetting about it as we speak. ❜ Nissa corked a brow then crossed her arms over her chest. maybe it was just her, but she seemed very abrasive. at her question, the teen gestured to her BAT SYMBOL. ❛ i thought i’d be obvious… ❜
She hesitated, eyes narrowed, before conceding, “FAIR ENOUGH.” It wasn’t HER fault that the bat family was apparently multiplying like rabbits. A twinge of jealousy passed through her, at the size, the UNITY that symbol created, before she shook it off. She was part of a team now too. “So, what’re you doing out here ?? Window shopping ??”
“I wonder which will get you killed faster your LOYALTY or your STUBBORNNESS?”

a pause, then she’s laughing, a hands against her stomach kind of laughing. “ you got it. it was pretty impressive. even oracle said the cave had never been so quiet… yeah, he’d make a pretty bad actor, wouldn’t he? you think it’s a result of too many face lifts? ”
“Bad actor, but GREAT poker player.” She said, snorting with laughter. “And really who needs to ACT if you can get rich off card games.” She herself was not ALWAYS the best liar when put on the spot. “Face lifts?? MAYBE. Maybe he’s actually super old. He does give a kind of born in the 30′s VIBE to him.”
& zctanna:
zatanna looked over at her friend, her PARTNER, with the smallest peak of a smile in return ;; the joy was overshadowed by the difficulty of previous deeds but she was happy they were all safe. ❛ i missed it. ❜
“Tell me about it.” She sighed slightly, having missed the superhero game ALTOGETHER for so long. It was still strange for her. She’d been Artemis. Then she’d been normal. Then she’d been Tigress. And now she was TIGRESS again and she was never quite sure what her LIMITS were. What Tigress would and wouldn’t do was still up in the air, and sometimes she was left with just Artemis. And just Artemis wasn’t the best decision maker at the moment. “I’m just grateful I never let myself get out of SHAPE. Then it would’ve been a NIGHTMARE coming back.”

soulmate au where instead of your soulmates first words to you written on your skin it’s their last words you ever hear them say so you don’t know who your soulmate is until you lose them
imagine generic last words like “did you get the mail?” “i’ll be down in a minute!” “have you seen my cell phone?” so every time the munain happens your blood runs cold
when you know you’ll hardly know them at all “what’s your name?” “do you have a facebook?” “that’ll be $3.95 with tax” because it’s one thing to lose them and know too late, but it’s something much crueler to never know them at all
imagine being the parent of someone with “did you do the homework?” “my mom said yes” “i really hate P.E.” because you know it will happen young, you know you can’t protect them
people with horrifying ones like “don’t close your eyes!” “i don’t think we’re alone” “didn’t you lock the door?” because they’ll be there when something horrible happens and there’s no way to prepare for that
imagine what you otp’s wrists might say.

“IN THE GRAND scheme, you’ve still got a ways to go but I think you’ve all been through your fair share to not be considered kids at least. And Conner is - unique. I age normally as far as i can tell.”
“I forgot. You’re the epitome of normal. CONNER is the weird one.” She smiled at him, easily. It wasn’t so weird talking to SUPERMAN anymore, which is not something she’d imagined to ever think. She shrugged. “To be honest, most of us were never really kids. If you’re still a kid, why would you be in a position to join the TEAM. It just doesn’t stop some of the newbies from ACTING like them.”

“Okay, so I ONLY have about half an hour right now, because I have ANOTHER shift later and also I need to go to some kind of furniture store and buy a bed or shelves or SOMETHING, and I haven’t eaten anything but take out in DAYS, do you know what teenagers eat?? Or what they, you know, DO?? And, I swear to god, if I don’t get some kind of caffeinated beverage right about now I’m going to pass out, not to MENTION my car has that stupid light flicking on and off again which means I probably have to deal with that and-” She took a breath, having slid into the seat opposite her. “How are YOU??”

Peyton leans in the doorway of the living room, her duffle bag slung lazily over her shoulder as she proceeded to COMPLETELY ignore all the words leaving the social workers list. She didn’t care. Whatever she was saying didn’t matter anyways, it’s not like she planned on being around much anyways. Her … Aunt? Cousin? Foster sister twice removed? Whoever she even was biologically probably didn’t want her around anymore than she wanted to be there. Peyton just had to cross her fingers an d hope she wouldn’t try to play mommy. She didn’t like the mom she recently lost, she didn’t need another mommy dearest.
Suddenly she is shaken from her thoughts at the sound of a door shutting and she looks around, noticing that the social worker was gone and she was now alone with just her, her crap, her new guardian, and a house. She simply raises her eyebrow at the woman, and tilts her head to the side slightly, not bothering to shift to face her completely. ❛ So. Where’s my room? ❜
She’d been up thirty-six hours and COUNTING at this point, having worked too many shifts to keep a clear head, and using whatever time she DID have off at ikea, trying to assemble some kind of ROOM for the brand new teenager she was about the be receiving. She had one HELL of a bone to pick with whatever gods were behind this LITTLE trick, as it wasn’t like she didn’t have ENOUGH to be dealing with. She also couldn’t quite deny the irony from the reports of this kids ‘behaviour’. Reminded her a LITTLE bit too much Artemis 1.0, and if she had anywhere near the rebellion in her that SHE remembered, she was going to have to invest in bars on the window and a house arrest ankle BRACELET.
“Your room, RIGHT.” She had a somewhat forced smile on her face as she’d opened the door, and it occurred to her that it didn’t quite feel like she had enough OXYGEN in her lungs for this conversation. “It’s right through here.” She gestured, closing the door behind the two of them. “It leads off from the living room, whereas I’M on the second floor. You have your own bathroom too.” She felt rushed and unsure, something she wasn’t accustomed to feeling. It’d had been years since she’d felt so INSECURE in her own situation. Then again, it’d been years since she’d ever been this totally and COMPLETELY unprepared.
