White Tiger from Secret of the Mimic work in progress. From the cardboard and foam head base, I covered the outside in project foam, added some ears, and 3D printed a pair of eyes I made in blender. Next, I made an aluminum foil base for the mouth and ears and wrapped those in some foam clay. It's really easy to work with and sandable once it dries. In retrospect, I made the upper part of the mouth a bit too big, but oh well. The mouth was sanded and painted as were the eyes and then I wrapped the head with fabric and glued it in place. The goatee and side fluff were made with two layers of stiff felt and the whiskers are bendable wire with a plastic coating. I wrapped the project foam hands, feet, arms, legs, and body with fabric. The arm, legs, and body are intentionally loose to match the reference better since he's a plush. Last, I did a quick try on to see how everything is looking together so far. I still need to finish the tops of the arms and legs, add the stripes and visible stitching, make the tail, add the claws and knot buttons, and dirty him up a bit, but I'm pretty happy with how it's coming together. Looking forward to Megacon Orlando!
