“…Hello? Are you here for a match, or…?”
“My name is Bailey. I spend a lot of time out here by the ocean… or in the Fortress of Meropide…hehe…”

MOD SPEAKING!
Attention to everyone! Bailey is getting a huuuuge redesign as my self insert! I will also be changing up his backstory a tiny bit as well as his personality. Think of it as an s/I remodel! I will be giving him this outfit.
In addition to the fact that his vision will now be Electro instead of Pyro.
Bailey’s paw pads absorbed the heat of Liyue’s sun-baked cobblestone roads as he hopped from stone to stone, playing a little game with himself to not step on a gap. He was exploring Liyue for the first time. Something new and exciting, the nation of Geo, and the first place he’d been outside of Fontaine and Natlan, if you don’t count his trip through Sumeru to get here. He was full of energy, having just eaten 4 people’s worth of food at Wanmin Restaurant
Bailey’s eyes catch on a sort of show. There’s someone wearing what looks like a large mask of sorts? The head of some sort of animal. Bailey slips into the front row, mesmerized.
-@boxer-boi
The final drumbeat echoes through the square as the lion froze in a triumphant pose , golden ribbons swaying gently . The crowd starts cheering , and Gaming removes the mask , revealing a bright smile beneath it . His gaze lands on Bailey , who still looks mesmerized .
❝ Hello there ! Did ya enjoy the show ? You looked quite fascinated by my dance ! ❞ Gaming asks with a small laugh , stepping closer to him . ❝ Bet this is your first time here ! This was one of my best performances , so I'm happy that this is your first impression of me ! ❞ He says in his usual , energetic tone and looks at him up and down , trying to guess where he comes from .
❝ Aw , bummer . . . ❞ Gaming sighs , but then quickly adds : ❝ B—But if you like seafood , that ' s different— ! And it ' s okay— ❞
”Huh? I would’ve assumed Liyue’s food is full of seafood too. We’re right by a harbor.” He pointed out.
❝ I— . . . N—Nevermind ! Just . . . Yeah , you ' re right ! ❞ He rubs the back of his head nervously and continues to eat .
Bailey tilts his head, finding your nervous behavior strange, but thinking nothing of it, continuing to eat. He giggled.
“Dude, your face is sooo red. Like, my hair color red. Or your hair color red. Hey, we both have red hair!”

he explained, figuring out his chopsticks and taking another bite.

You could hear Baileys tail smacking the chair as it wagged, watching as he stuffed a steamed bun in his mouth happily. He was like a child going out to eat for the first time. Kinda cute.
Gaming got so busy staring at Bailey who is acting cute , that he forgot to eat himself . As soon as he realizes he was staring too much , he clears his throat and chooses something to eat first for himself .
❝ So . . . Do ya like the food . . ? ❞ Of course , Bailey doesn ' t look like he ' s enjoying the food at all , right ?!
”Sooo gooood…”
He murmured, a huge smile on his face.
“You get to eat this stuff every day?”

”I mean in technical terms, yes? I didn’t like, beat anyone up or anything. A buncha rich people always have some issue with me “trespassing” or whatever when there’s not even a fence around the property! So how was I supposed to know…? But then I met the Duke, Wriothesely, and he’s kinda like my dad now. So I go down there on my own these days.”

He drums his fingers on the table . ❝ So , you just head down there whenever ? That prison. . . Definitely doesn't sound like the prisons I imagined ! ❞
”Well that’s exactly why it’s such a high-security prison. No one really wants to leave. Got its own currency and everything. Most people actually continue living there after serving their sentence.”
his pupils dilate like 4 times in size when he sees the massive plates being placed in the center of the table.

interesting... very interesting. lyney had seen freminet spending time with this mysterious redheaded... dog... thing? for quite a while now, but he hadn't had a chance to confront him until now.
❝ hello! who are you? ❞ lyney says cheerfully, but there's a hint of caution, worry and a little bit of protectiveness in his tone.
- @magicixn
Bailey was happily munching on some cake in front of one of Fontaine’s many dessert booths, jumping slightly when he heard… a familiar voice. Almost annoyingly familiar. He turned to find the well-known and loved magician Lyney.
”…hello…”
why was this guy talking to him? Surely he hadn’t found out about Freminet…
“Uh, I’m Bailey.”
He had heard of the Duke’s meeting with this guy, and it was safe to say Lyney didn’t trust Wriothesely very much. Which pissed Bailey off even more. How was his dad not trustworthy? He was gonna have to watch out for this Lyney guy….
❝ a pleasure to meet you, ❞ he smiles. it's stiff, just like the rest of his body. he can almost smell the distrust — is it his or bailey's? possibly both. probably both.
his smile becomes faker, if that's possible. ❝ i seem to have seen you around the house of the hearth, recently; any particular reason, or just... ah... visiting? ❞
Bailey’s eyes narrowed. So this was about Freminet.
“Did you? Interesting. I don’t recall having a stalker, but apparently that’s changed.”
his smile dropped slightly.
“I was invited, if you must know.”
lyney laughs, tilting his head to the side. his smile is more teeth than lips. ❝ a stalker? oh, didn't know we liked to jump to such far conclusions here. more like i notice when it looks and sounds like someone's breaking into my home. ❞ perhaps iudex neuvillette has updated the laws, and that is now a crime? ugh.
he takes a deep breath. stay calm, lyney. no need to get so very worked up over this. archons, he feels like an embarrassment right now. how irritating.
❝ invited? how curious. i won't pry any longer, don't worry. what you do in your own time is your own business. ❞ what a lie on lyney's part. oh, he desparately wants to get every bit of information out of this little– but ‘father’ would be disappointed in him for that, and lynette too, most likely.
”Well it’s other people’s home too. And I just so happened to be invited. If it’s so important that you respect my privacy, then why are you still here?”
he glares at him. way to test his patience — and then disappears into thin air. a stray playing card falls right on top of bailey's head, then disappears along with its (seething in anger) owner.
((BAHAHHAHAHA SORRY I CAN JUST IMAGINE LYNEY SULKING AFTER THIS))
Bailey took another bite of his cake, smirking. He couldn’t wait to visit his lovely boyfriend again tonight, and watch his brother stare as he closed the door to Freminet’s room right in front of his face.
that night...
lyney drags himself into the house after a gruelling night of missions. he couldn't say he was expecting freminet to ask him to do one of his that night, for some reason, but he could never say no to his little brother. it only took 10 minutes, anyway.
finally, he reaches his room, rubbing his face tiredly — when he sees something that takes all of the exhaustion away immediately.
oh, you have to be kidding him!
bailey? sneaking into freminet's room? his mouth is agape. eyes narrowed. he did extra missions today for the sake of him? he splutters furiously.
((HELPP BAILEY’S TAG IS SO PERFECT))
As you watch Bailey’s tail disappear and the door shut, you hear hushed voices and just barely make out snippets of the conversation.
“You’re lucky … Father thinks … distracting me … assignments.”
And then Bailey’s voice, easier to make out and closer to the door.
“Well I only ever visit when you don’t have missions… and Ms. Arlecchino is acquainted enough with my dad…”
You hear some rustling, and footsteps, presumably belonging to Freminet, moving closer to Bailey’s position.
“Yeah, okay… just… I wish you could stay longer…” and then distinctively a loud sigh from your little brother. “Lynette already knows, but… I think Lyney might skin you alive if he finds out we’re… y’know…”
“Well even skinless, I would come back for you, lovie.”
OH SHIT?? You did NOT know that was what this was… you were about to bust this door down, wtf…
wow. woooooow. woooooooo– okay, i think you get the point. once again, are you kidding him? worst day ever. lyney is seething with fury to say the least. that– freminet, how could you?
he raises his hand to knock on freminet's door, before —
ugh, damnit! why did it have to be his favourite little sibling? if it had been anyone else, it would have been alright, but freminet? seriously?
fine. for the sake of freminet — and ONLY freminet, damn that bailey — he's gonna wait until they're done doing... whatever they're doing (nope, not thinking about that). ugh. bailey better had been telling the truth, because there would be no skin left. mark his words. all of them. no skin!
”wait- shh.”
went Fremi’s voice.
“Someone’s outside the door.”
“Wha-! Do we… open it? And catch them? Or…?”
drat.
lyney transforms quickly into a playing card, wedging himself on top of the light shade — where neither of them can reach. now be silent, lyney. not your strong point, really, but hey.
The door slooooowly opens, Bailey stepping out and holding Freminet (rather awkwardly, given that Freminet is a good few inches taller.)
“I don’t see anyone…”
Freminet’s eyes dart around, catch on the card, and widen. His face turns the color of Bailey’s hair and he clutches his boyfriend tighter.
“H-How much did you hear…? Lyney?”
worst day ever. he is never doing this again. the card promptly disappears, leaving lyney leaning against the wall with a very salty expression on his face. ❝ ...too damn much, ❞ he sighs, regretting every single one of his life choices.
”WHA- where’d you come from?!”
Bailey stage whispers.
“And what were you doing outside the door? Eavesdropping? The hell did you think we were gonna do in there?”
Freminet simply hides his beet-red face in Bailey’s neck.
❝ guy with his boyfriend, sneaking into his room under the cover of night? ❞ lyney raises a pale eyebrow. seriously, what is going on today? ❝ i don't know what you were doing, but surely you can see that there were a lot of possibilities — that were not irrational to come to. ❞
”You did NOT just go there…”
Bailey grumbled, although there was a pink tint to his cheeks that was just barely noticeable in the dark hallway.
“It’s not our fault you’ve got a dirty mind… and look what you did to Freminet! He’s like… dying! And his face is the temperature of the sun!”
He sets your brother down to cup his face and make sure he’s not actually overheating before shooting you a glare.
❝ then do tell, what would you have assumed? ❞ he splutters. was it not a perfectly reasonable assumption? ❝ freminet, my apologies. but seriously, you need to stop sneaking in. i don't even want to know what ‘father’ thinks. ❞
”Well we’ve been doing this for close to a year without anyone but Lynette noticing. And she’s great at minding her own business. Unlike some OTHERS I know.”
“Alright, alright. P-please stop, both of you… Lyney… please don’t tell Father about this. She knows Bailey and I hang out but not that we- ahem.. I mean… that we’re together…
❝ i am going to kill lynette, ❞ he hisses, crossing his arms and looking at bailey. ❝ and you can go– ❞
he stops when freminet speaks. ❝ don't worry, ❞ he says, his voice suddenly a whole lot nicer. ❝ i'm not gonna tell ‘father’. outing you guys would mean outing the fact that i'm terrible at time management and always end up having to finish my missions last minute — which is probably why i never noticed the two of you, ❞ he says, rolling his eyes. ❝ also, i do care about one of the two of you. ❞
”I… he’s staying the night. Just… don’t freak out, okay?”
Freminet gets this guilty look on his face.
“I just want to spend as much time with him as possible.”
❝ ugh, fine. but if anything bad happens, i can and will shoot someone in the face. it is not my responsibility on who gets in the way of my arrow, ❞ he shrugs nonchalantly. of course, he'll know exactly who's on the other end of his arrow, but he doesn't need to ruin his own day any more than it already is, either. ❝ i'll leave you two — but i swear to the hydro archon, if anything happens. at all. ❞
”Ugghhhh, seriously? Can’t do anything around here…”
“U-uhhhm… please don’t shoot my boyfriend…”
“Fremi, next time you need me, we go to the Fortress, yeah?”
Freminet’s face once again turned bright red at that comment, and he bundled Bailey back inside his room, following close behind and closing the door.
um
Can we as a collective group, move out of the U.S. Like, everyone that hates trump and elon leave.

his smile becomes faker, if that's possible.
// hiii i hope you don't mind me hopping in!
