Has anyone else noticed that Mike and Will are almost always framed with Mike on the left side of the screen and Will on the right side of the screen in their one-on-one scenes? The “it was a seven” scene, the “crazy together” scene, the “you’re a superspy” scene, the rain fight scene, the “it’s just a sub-concern” scene, the airport scene, the Rink-o-Mania fight scene, the “looks like it’s gonna be up to us again” scene, the “it’s scary to open up like that” scene, the cabin scene, and the field scene.

The only times they ever have a major one-on-one scene where they switch places (Will on the left and Mike on the right) is the moment Mike says “we’re friends” at Rink-o-Mania, the van scene where Will disguises his feelings as El’s, and the tower scene, where they again claim to be “friends.”

And the only times they’re solely framed directly facing each other, instead of side-by-side, in a one-on-one interaction is the shed scene and Will’s Lenora bedroom scene - both of which are the only two scenes where Mike gets to bare his soul to Will about how much he means to him.
