Aubrey felt like his life was crumbling before his very eyes and it was his fault. His marriage had finally broken down. It went through it’s bumps in the road several times but now it was finally the broken down car on the side of the road and he didn’t know what his next move was supposed to be. Yes, it was true. He still loved Nicki. And they created a beautiful child together. But he was wondering if it was finally time to trade this car in for something better like his peace of mind. He loved Onika. He couldn’t stress that enough. But he was exhausted. Before Ayana tried to stake her claim, she already had several accusations against him having other women. She didn’t trust him to begin with. And maybe he didn’t trust her. He ran his hand over his face.

But it was more than just that. She attempted to hurt him physically. He never thought that he would see the day that his wife would actually attempt to kill him. He was starting to feel like he was being suffocated with his thoughts. They weren’t allowing him to breathe. He just didn’t know if it was the right thing to do. They had Aubrey together. He still loved her but the good memories they had together was starting to become a blur for him. Aubrey wanted to get things back to the way they were before when they were both happy but he just didn’t know anymore. Instead, he decided that it was time he turned back to the one that he could always rely on: alcohol. He took a long swig from the bottle of Hennessy and closed his eyes shut as he felt the burning sensation hit the back of his throat. “I guess some things will never change.” He chuckled as the tears fell from his eyes.
