Hello, I am Lucien, the co-host of the system that Dominick has. And before I begin explaining things, yes we have DID. Professionally diagnosed and currently in therapy to help cope better. Now I have been observing what has been happening and after trying to calm Dominick down, which caused me to front instead. He is very aware that I am doing this and gave permission because I can explain it better than he could. Before I begin, I would like you all to know that…no, I am not associated with the character Lucien Hooke. I am my own person, just my name was taken to be used. I will be the one writing the explanation.
First off, thank you to the anon who informed Dominick about what Cole did. It was very kind of you and he appreciated it very much, you did nothing wrong. You were trying to make him aware and he very much is now aware. The other two anons did not have any right to be complete assholes, but that is what anon hate is. We appreciate the message and definitely took it into consideration.
Of course, after sending that anon, we looked into it ourselves and seen the proof that we needed to see. It upset Dominick, which is completely valid, he did not know at all. Reverse Racism is not real and we are very much against racism as a whole. Dominick is very adamant about that because he is afraid of people assuming that he is one.
Now after getting advice from many friends and mutuals, I think it is okay for Dominick to keep using the FC and still not condone Cole’s views at all. It is as equal as it would be if writing a villain, you can write the villain but do not condone their actions. I think it is very possible to separate the face from the person. For example, in the HP rpc, many writers put “anti-jkr” on their blogs and write the character. In the same sense, you are ignoring the problematic actions of jkr in order to write the character in the series. You separate the author from the series, she has done transphobic things along with racist actions, but you make sure you are “anti-jkr’. this is exactly the same thing. To Dominick, he does not see the face as Cole’s, but his character.
He will be anti-cole sprouse, but still use his face because he is separating it. It is just a face for a fictional character. He and I truly understand the banned fc list situation pretty well & will respect it. This will be put as a disclaimer in his rules for everyone to understand. If I have to link this post in his rules, then I shall.
Dominick is rightfully upset for this and was very conflicted on deleting his blogs, but considering the love he put into his character…it just does not seem fair to him at all. If you have to block or unfollow because of it, then do so. We cannot control anyone else, but put your mental health above it.
All I am asking in return is to not send hate to him, especially since I have fronted to do this. This is his blog and his character. Do not accuse us of faking please, we kept this to ourselves due to that happening (online and in real life).
