BIG ANNOUCEMENT

HI Blossoms , We have very important news for you. This little fun summer project has attracted quite a lot of you and it’s super exciting! Thank you for joining and taking part. We are always listening to your feedback and trying to better Brainy Blossoms for you. Slack has a lot of advantages regarding group separation and privacy, but we have understood that most of you did not find it the most convenient on a daily basis, therefore we are moving to facebook groups in hopes that it will allow you to interact more and make the most of BB. Moreover, we have analysed your response to our content and saw that the one you want to interact the most with is: business, literature, sustainability and self-development. Therefore we are simplifying BB for you and creating three main facebook groups: Business becomes BB-Business club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thebbbusinessgroupcommunity/ Literature becomes BB-Book club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thebbbookclubcommunity/ Self development becomes BB-Growth: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thebbgrowthclub/ As for sustainability, one of the members of BB, and a guest we had on last week created a facebook group that does the exact same thing as us on facebook for sustainability so I recommend joining theirs: https://www.facebook.com/groups/581027762599568/. However we will still be having sustainability workshops on the growth group until the end of July! (we already have one sustainable period and one slow fashion one planned so join the fun!)

We are two best friends, one from Europe and one from the US, both in our twenties. Ari, from Europe, just graduated from a bachelors in business management and is going into a masters in marketing & communication. Alex, from the US, finished her psychology degree last year and is currently working in medical research before applying to med school!

Day 16/100

Proving/rearranging the quadratic formula. (Plus a little flower 🌹)

I've been a bit behind on work (finishing leftovers means that I therefore don't completely finish the days work, and the cycle continues...) but now I've caught up, so slightly less pressure :)

I also took part in an online book club workshop with @brainyblossomscommunity, which was fantastic! I'm really looking forward to looking into the different themes and genres that will be covered!

WEEKLY WORKSHOPS SCHEDULE It’s official! Workshops are starting! For week one we are starting slow, with one workshop for the sustainability group and one for the self-development group. However, even if you are not part of those groups feel free to join us Attachment styles: Have you ever noticed you date or befriend the same kind of person over and over again? This might not be your imagination or coincidence. It could be Attachment Theory at work, which says we each have a specific attachment style. Learn about them and reflect on them during our one hour workshop on Wednesday, June 17th at 4PM! Join the online meeting for free, all you have to do is join our community!

No waste in the kitchen: Climate change could be irreversible by 2050. Now that is a scary number, we all want to preserve our earth but sometimes it is just hard to know where to begin. How about starting with eating more? Did you read this right? Yes, you did. We often waste way more food than we need to! In this workshop, we will give you a number of recipes to reduce your waste (and save some money!). Get your notebooks ready, it is happening on Friday, June 19th at 3PM (UK Time). Join the online meeting for free, all you have to do is join our community!

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY

Our knowledge-sharing community is welcoming new members every day and we want to provide them with a lot more interactions and workshops that we can currently plan just us two. 

Therefore we are looking for  6 COMMUNITY LEADERS/EVENT PLANNERS, especially for the data, foreign languages and art-design knowledge group, which we think would be great fun for anyone super passionate about their subjects, which is why I am also posting about it on studyblr.

A free knowledge sharing community for girls!

Brainy Blossoms aims at being a space where all girls can exchange on a variety of topics, help each other and expand on their knowledge for free. For now, we are just a baby project so it is going to take a little while for this platform to serve the group to its full potential. But here are the two things we would like it to provide you with:

-Little groups per topic where you can discuss the topic in a chat, ask questions or share interesting material on it Thirsty for knowledge? You can join as many as you want! Currently we offer supportive communities in:

Human Behavior (All things psychology and sociology.)

Sustainability (All things zero-waste, SDGs, and plant-based diets.)

Self-development (All things journaling, positive mindset, travelling and anything to open ourselves to new challenges)

Art-Design (All things digital art, design, video editing, art and textile.)

Foreign Languages (Members fluent in Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Polish. Looking for natives in Korean, Urdu, Hindi, Turkish and Russian & anyone who wants to add to this mix)

Sciences (All things biology, physics, forensic, astronomy, veterinary and medicine.)

Business (All things marketing, communication, media, economics, accounting, management and HR.)

Data (All things math, statistics and programming.)

Literature (All things books, philosophy and literature.)

Law-Gov (All things law, politics, international relations and current news.)

-This week onwards, we would like to hold workshops for each channel, where one of the girls could introduce something they are really passionate about to the rest of us on a video call!
