So i was alerted by someone that one of my drawings was reposted here on tumblr, and i messaged the person who reposted it and asked if they could properly credit not only me, but many other artists whose pictures they also repost. They did not respond to me, but instead made a post telling all artists to put a signature on their art if they are going to put it on social media. Now i dont really know what to do :/

I was told to report them and/or the post with my art, (can i do that on mobile?) but honestly, im not as concerned with my art being reposted as i am with other artists. So i dont really want to have to straight up report them?? And they werent claiming the art as their own, but im not sure if the other artists would be ok with it anyways. I am not going to publically call them out so people can attack them, you know?

Not sure about the candle part, but I thought the cactus part of cactuscandle was because your sona at the time was a maractus iirc? Or did the maractus come after the username?

I can’t QUITE remember but I’m pretty sure Maractus came after I decided my username! I actually went a while without a Pokesona but I’m not sure if Maractus was my first one or not

This may be a stupid question, but what's a commission and how does it work?

A commission is when you pay someone for art! You find an artist you like doing commissions, take a look at their prices/references/art and then pay them to draw what you want! 

Usually there’s multiple options- sketch, lineart, flat color, full shading, painted and the price corresponds to the amount of time put into your commission.

There’s a lot of artists in the Pokeask/daily community who do commissions, so if you’re ever interested in getting some nice art for money, look around!

Question, why are you called cactus?

Good question! 

My first online art account was on DA under the username Cactuscandle! (As for why Cactus and candle in particular, well I really don’t remember). That was like... 6 years ago but the name just stuck! So now everyone just calls me cactus ovob you’re also welcome to call me cactus, since it’d be weird to be called anything else

Hey guys. Something I’ve noticed a lot lately is just….

A lot of people constantly reblogging munday Meme’s not on munday, reblogging a SHITTON of those “hey reblog this and I’ll draw your oc” posts and just general OOC stuff that isn’t actual content.

Please remember to tag your OOC and your Meme’s. I’ve been basically on one of the biggest unfollowing sprees that I’ve ever done because those memes and constant non stop OOC reblogs are just clogging up not only mine, but others feed as well.

90% of the time it’s untagged as well so nobody can black list it to not see it clog up their feed.

Y'all have lovely content but around 80% of the time I just can’t ever see it because it’s just:

So please remember to tag your OOC or at least delete it when you are done with it. It’s becoming a large issue that others and I have been noticing.

Ya'lls content is good and wonderful and all of your characters are lovely and great but it would be cool if you could actually see them without having to scroll past a mile of OOC reblogs

So just please, tag your OOC and delete it when you are done so people can actually SEE your blogs actual content.
