I’ll be completely transparent about this. I was really bummed out when I wrote and recorded this song. I said I would never post it because it’s one of the few songs where the thing I’m singing about actually happened directly to me. So even though I know for a fact that the person I had this experience with is going to see and hear it, I’m doing it. I’m putting it online, because ultimately, this song is very close to my heart and I’m proud of it. I considered re-recording it where I didn’t mess up, but I felt this frustrated, vulnerable version was the most genuine I could ever get. Hopefully you’ll be able to hear what I was feeling.
