I had a cat before I came to Tracen, so I might be able to help. We could also just hang out if you'd like. Sometimes the umamusume body does.. odd things. It's not that I've "beaten" sleeping, it's that my body simply doesn't want to. My atrocious lack of a sleep schedule doesn't help..

Somehow I don't believe that. You figured out how to beat sleep, taught yourself how to win races, and learned how to take care of yourself despite rapid change. This is just another thing you need to learn. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Orange pulls out a small picture from her pocket, white creases overlap one another like a spiderweb, but the image is mostly visible with context.

It was a picture of Vessel and Eleven, smiling with some sort of racetrack behind them. Maybe it was after the former had won for the last time, jokingly promising that she'd be the next Triple Crown..

Vessel loved this thing, I could've sworn that she actually slept with it sometimes as a good luck charm. She's.. She's not coming back to Tracen- or her senses- anytime soon so I think you should have it.

..I hope things work out for you. I'm not one of those obsessed-with-drama-umas so I seriously don't mean anything bad by this. Hell, I can beat up Vessel when she comes back, to shake some sense into her. She didn't deserve you.

*Eleven doesn't actually process the shaking hand reaching out to grab the picture as her own. She stares at it, mind whirling. Vessel looks almost identical, a little less exhausted and a little less bruised, but undeniably the same uma that was in the picture. The same uma who haunts her (now rather frequent) nightmares. The same can't be said for the astronomer, though. Her eyes are just slightly lighter, her freckles more pronounced, her hair isn't quite the same color. It's incredibly plausible that the image is of some almost identical twin that she never talked about. She recognizes herself anyway.*

*She's going to be sick. Looking at the image alone makes her want to crawl out of her skin and go missing. She can't tell if its guilt or shame or the knowledge of what she's lost. She just knows it makes itself home in the pit of her gut and makes her want to sob till her eyes go permanently dry and her vocal cords shred themselves into chunks.*

...nobody answers. All you can hear is the chatter of people going along their day, no barely audible footsteps from inside, no audible squealing of a young uma, nothing.

It's almost like the house was recently abandoned- But not abandoned in the sense that they left no tracks behind.

The door is unlocked.

here I was, thinking it'd be easy...

*She enters, looking for traces of Mama Dish's whereabouts*

*..it just looks like a normal house, like everyone had simply went to school or work. There's no markings of any struggling, it's calm.*

*Everything's almost neat. There's no abandoned dishes or food, the only real mess are scattered bits of clothing and toys. With how Shiro decribed it.. Dish looked like she barely struggled with the whole incident.*

*The only telltale of anyone being there is the faint noise of floorboards creaking. It's from the bedroom, do you investigate?*

*Sky notes everything down, remaining quiet as she moves closer towards the sound*

(Hm... might be dealing with another missing uma case, unless I'm just here at the wrong time...)

*The closer you get, the more it just looks like someone is getting too restless. There's faint muttering and soft breathing, and the creaking is in some sort of rhythmn.*

*The voice is too quiet to know who it is from a distance, it sounds slightly familliar though.... weird.*

*She slowly opens the bedroom door, not sure if she should be ready to fight or comfort someone.*

*..the mystery person is none other than White Vessel, facing a large shelf and holding what looks like a picture frame in her hands.*

*When the door opens, she doesn't get startled, she doesn't run, she doesn't scream, she just.. stares tiredly at the detective.*

I was wrong.

*She blinks, her eyes getting watery as her breathing gets a little heavier. She looks stressed- but something's off.*

*Vessel somehow doesn't look injured. No cast, no blood, no bleeding.. like the accident didn't happen.*

It- It wasn't Eleven.

*A pause. She looks like she's about to cry.*

Eleven wasn't even there- I- I'm such a bad person-! It was Dish and she didn't so anything wrong!

hey... it's okay, Vessel...

*Sky moves forward, wrapping a blanket (Where did she get that?) around Vessel. Not doing any direct physical contact yet, just making sure she feels a little more comfortable and warm*

This happens all the time... people and umas think their memories are way better than they are, but they can be molded easily... you saw someone shaped vaguely like her, and were thinking about her a lot, so your brain made the association... there's nothing wrong in falling for it...

People also have a habit of making things seem worse than they are... giving themselves nightmares and stressing themselves out over tiny little things, cause they think they can't fix it... Have ya ever considered that she'll forgive you as soon as you apologise...?~

*Sky's putting everything into her voice to calm Vessel down, it sounds like a mixture of a lullaby and a parent gently telling their child that everything will be alright. Seems the ex demon of sloth is still pretty good at getting people to relax*

(She's healed way more than doctors can do... hmmm... seems to be some kind of magic, I wonder if...

nahhhh... even if she follows them, they wouldn't touch someone who I'm helping, right...? Eh... maybe they're "all forgiving" like that...)

*Vessel's breathing slows, being only slightly shaky by the time the lullaby ends. She places the picture frame back on the shelf, and just stays standing.*

*..the picture frame seems to be something less serious, Dish, Vessel nad Eleven huddled together for a photo. The closer you look, the harder it is the believe that Vessel actually thought Eleven was the bystander. Dish has bay hair, yes, but it's lighter than Eleven's and it's mostly gray.*

*Vessel pulls away, trying to shake off the blanket.*

I.. Thank you. I know what to do. Just- I'll leave as soon as I can.
