Feeling her daughters fingers wrapped around her pointer finger Imogen laughed, “Ready if you are. I couldn’t think of anything better. Well… The stinky nappies I could do without at times.” She smiled up at her husband. “But that’s the beauty of babies…”
Once the doctors were done with Imogen’s stitches they had given her a potion for the pain. They took her to the deliver floor, placing her back in the comfortable bed. Imogen slowly sat up from the bed watching Brandon who sat next to her, with baby Sage in his arms. “Looks like we have two little girls now, don’t we?”
"We knew that from the scans but it feels a lot more real, she’s beautiful." Brandon kissed her tiny face "Are you comfortable enough because I’m going to pass her over so you can cuddle."
Imogen quickly nodded holding her arms out, “Yes. Please. I’m okay, just can’t really move my waist. Everything from there up is good.” She smiled wanting to hold their daughter. She knew she couldn’t at first after surgery because her body was too weak and she was getting ditched up. Now there wasn’t much stopping her. As Brandon placed their daughter in her arms Imogen looked down, Sage was bundled up sleeping like an angel, the small little hat the nurses they had placed on her head was halfway off, revealing the dark, black hair she had gotten from her father. “Look at that… She has your hair.” She smiled up at Brandon.
He kissed Imogen’s forehead and pushed the hair out of her face “Yeah, but she’s going to be pretty like you.” he sat back down “I can’t wait to introduce her to Adessa, I hope she likes her sister.”
Imogen rolled her eyes at that, “She’s going to have your crazy hair. I know it already.” She smirked. Resting her hand on her baby’s chest Imogen then felt Sage’s tiny fingers wrap around hers, “I’m sure she will, having a new sibling is always exciting, don’t you think? She’ll probably think of her as a friend and a doll to dress up.” She chuckled.
"Bu she might not like her all the time, new babies need lots of attention, I won't be able to take her to the park on week days like I usually do, not until we get this little one settled and get a routine sorted." he sighed.
