Dance Is A Way Of Life

I'm Brandon Kols. I have three baby sisters, who well...Aren't exactly babies anymore. I dance competitively for ADC, and I love it there.

Nah. It was mostly you, for a while when we were younger. Thought you were the coolest. You're so terribly confusing. I'm sure you could, since my dancing is not comparable to yours in any way.

I know, it’s a shame. We used to be the golden duo; now it’s considered lucky to even see us smile towards eachother. Hopefully you’ll get better soon, dork.

Brooke: I'll worry as much as I want, and I do care. I've always had and I always will. I cared when you said you were nervous before performing our first duet together when we were five. I cared when you said that you had a headache when you were seven, which was the first time you ever talked to me outside of dance class. I cared when you fell from that one tree when we were eleven. I cared when you had your first anxiety attack, and that is just a small thing compared to the other things I've cared about. I care for you when it comes to everything, no matter how big or small the problem is. I will always care for you, even if I don't always show it. You're just too damn nice, alright? You always care about my feelings before your own, and you blame all of my mistakes on yourself. You're too fucking nice for everybody, okay? I just treated you like shit, yet you tell me you love me? You deserve better, and you don't even know it. You put a smile on my face whenever I'm sad, you make me laugh whenever I'm crying, and you make me feel like I'm the most beautiful person in the world when I'm feeling insecure. You don't know how much you mean to me. You don't know how damn amazing you are. You're like a butterfly; absolutely beatiful, but you don't even know it because you can't see your wings. I love you Brandon Kols, I love you so much it hurts. I've loved you since the first day I layed my eyes on you at the studio, but I had no idea back then. All of this doesn't matter though, because you deserve better. I'm not good for you no matter how much I wish I was. I need to start loving myself before I can show you how much I love you. I don't know how I will do that, but all I know is that you deserve better. Please stop caring about me and start caring about yourself. Infact, stop loving me and love yourself, because until I've learned how to deal with my emotional problems, it's obvious you can't do both at the same time.

Brandon: All of those things aren't happening anytime soon. From the look of things, ever. You say this every time, Brooke. Every time I feel like I'm making effort in whatever this is, life, I guess you change your mind. And it scares me a lot. Why do you think I've followed you around like a lost puppy my whole life? I care a lot. I've cared since that duet when you admitted you were a little scared too, and threatened to punch me if I told anyone. You're one of the best friends I've ever had and I have no clue why. I can't really do that, Brooke. I can't just pause feelings, if I could I would love myself and have paused whatever I have with you a long time ago because they're both quite painful. If this is what works for you, we'll do it, but I'm not going to just throw every single ounce of trust I have back into you because as much as I care I never know when you're going to change your mind. But we can't just ignore each other, I don't think I can handle that. I want you to be good, and I'm still here for you. I just feel like we're calling this done forever. You don't know how impossible loving myself seems to me. I just want us to be good.
