Heat Death of the Universe

For a class I took, we had to do a collage based on the story "Heat Death of the Universe" We also had the option to create an extra credit piece, a book cover for a story of our choice, I chose "The Sentinal."

Refining some things.

I ended up playing with this more. Messing with skin textures, hair, values.

Simply some practice to work on stroke economy. I know I should be able to do this with much, much less. I spent too much time refining things that didn't need it, but hey that's what practice is for right!? I was also messing with the eyes a bit, tried doing a replicant look on one. As in the Blade Runner kind.

Something about cats...

I've recently kicked off a project that will consist of a female detective protagonist and her home. The setting and theme is basically a mish-mash of noir concepts, a sci-fi setting, and contemporary design languages. The intent is to create as much 2d concept work as I can, and then bring the whole thing to life in Unreal Engine 4 for the renders. Ideally, I'll even rig and animate the character to walk around the scene, but we'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

First Steps

These are some of the different versions and ideas I was playing with when coming up with the logo for the website. I don't feel a logo is necessary for an artist by any means, but since I intend to keep the website very simple, I figured a nice header and logo would make the whole thing pop.
