I directed a truly bizarre short film set inside the world of a hacked 90s TV Guide channel. We filmed on Betacam and built out the listings using the original Prevue Guide software, revived through a Commodore Amiga emulator.

Channelvue stars Lauren Servideo and exists as a love letter to late-night cable weirdness and the surreal charm of analog broadcast graphics.

My solo show 𝐅𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐕𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 opens Saturday, March 15th at The Fulcrum in Los Angeles.

“Brandon Tauszik’s grandmother, Shirley, lived estranged from her family for over three decades before her passing in 2020. The aftermath of her death left Tauszik and his father with the arduous task of sorting through her fifteen wooden storage vaults filled with highly 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 personal effects. Shot digitally with handheld, off-camera flash, the photographs strike a deft balance between unembellished warmth and forensic scrutiny. The absence of biographical certainty about Tauszik’s grandmother turns her into an unknowable ‘black box’ whose ultimate motivations can only be speculated upon from this limited body of evidence.”

I photographed security guard Michael Oxley, who has become a renowned figure at Hauser & Wirth's L.A. art gallery, making a point to greet people and show them around. Before the gallery opens, Michael begins his shift by studying the artworks. He then shares his findings with visitors, inviting them to join him in shifting their perspective.

His longstanding show ‘Demolisten’ plays demo tapes from unsigned acts and is famous for helping discover then-unknown artists such as Guns n' Roses and Beck and. Pictured here at Footsies Bar where he hosts a monthly DJ night spinning old 45s.
