Could you give more info on your recent tag saying DXE is not a good organization to get involved with? I've been following the Wayne Hsiung trial and had not heard of dxe previously, is it something vegans should be wary of?
Prism Reports published a pretty comprehensive article on some of the more serious allegations against DxE here, and DxE themselves have responded to some of them here. I'll include both for balance and so that you can come to your own conclusions.
per Direct Action Everywhere’s social media—
How to Expose Animal Abuse
“BREAKING: DxE is releasing an investigation manual to inform people about how to expose animal abuse and help animals in need. This manual is the first of its kind and is being published just days after Wayne Hsiung was sent to jail for his roles in exposing the criminal animal cruelty at two factory farms in Sonoma County. The industry is expecting us to be afraid and stand down, but the reality is that ordinary people everywhere are becoming grassroots investigators and the open rescue movement is growing. They can't imprison a movement. Light is shining into the dark where animals are being abused and the public is learning the truth. Now, you can learn in detail about how this tactic works by reading the investigation manual at dxe.io/manual #RightToRescue”
Do you want to learn about how grassroots investigators are exposing factory farms, slaughterhouses, and other places that abuse animals?
DxE has just published an in-depth Investigation Manual that breaks down the best practices for executing investigations and exposing animal cruelty. It was written and reviewed by experienced investigators who have hundreds of hours of experience in the field. The 150-page manual covers topics including:
Vetting your team
Security culture
Cybersecurity
Identifying different kinds of facilities from satellite imagery
Biosecurity protocols
Equipment checklists
Detailed instructions for various roles in the field
Press pitching
And much more

I’ve been vegan for eight years (after being raised vegetarian) and today i was abused by other vegans for being disabled and requiring a service dog. Some vegans tried to stick up for me but for the most part, it was insult after insult by dozens of people. The reality is, for many people with disabilities there is no other options currently available. It should be obvious that a $50,000 dog is a last resort for most (if not all) people (considering many disabled people are unemployed) but apparently it’s not obvious to able bodied people at all... What really hurt though was being accused of abusing my fur child. He is not forced or punished to do anything, ever. If he doesn’t want to work, he doesn't. If he does want to work, he gets showered in praise and treats. He has heaps of toys and regularly gets days off to dog parks, beaches, etc. He even has / goes to birthday parties but you're seriously going to say i abuse him? How is this good for the cause in anyway, shape of form? Instead you should be inventing solutions (considering they don’t currently exist) or i don’t know.... Spending your time actually stopping people who are psychically abusing and slaughtering animals? Just a thought.
Repost @rachel_dxe ⚠️ About a dozen activists are currently protesting outside of California Governor Newsom’s home, demanding an immediate moratorium on factory farms and slaughterhouses that would stop them from being built in California. ✊Many of the us will be here for 24 hours, so come stop by between now and 10am tomorrow and join us in speaking up for animals! 🤳If you can’t join us in person, watch and share our livestream (I’ll link below)! 📸: @101darwins #vegan #veganism #dxe #vegano #veganismo #animals #veganpower #veganactivist #veganactivism #veganactivists #factoryfarms #vigil #no #animalcruelty #peta #anonymous #anonymousforthevoiceless #govegan #birds #cow #pig #goat #chicken #beef #nonveg #nonvegetarian #bevegan #ashishvegan #dogsofinstagram #dog https://www.instagram.com/p/CM3SfQBDhYa/?igshid=1hytjvo7vhvhp
