Diablos Pacifier Challenge

But these challenges are no joke!!!!

There are many challenges going around right now and most know I did the one Chip challenge about a month ago and did just fine with it.

Yesterday I decided to do the diablos pacifier challenge with Marissa (she spit it out). If you don't know what it is, it's a piece of candy coated in Caroline reaper and scorpion Caspian to of the world's hottest peppers.

No problem ate the candy waited the 5 min just like before had a few hiccups some hot flashes from the heat no problem. 30 minutes later that all changed, extreme pains in my stomach along with intense burning and then the vomiting & chest pains started.

I looked at my husband, daughter and niece and told them something wasn't right and I needed to go to the hospital as he was getting ready I told not even 2 minutes later to call 911 I felt like I was having a heart attack.

My daughter who sat on the floor were I laid begging me to hold on that she needed me and watched me slip away I coded right in front of her and just as one of the neighbors a 1st responder came into the house before the paramedics arrived on scene and brought me back just as they were coming in the door.

Made it to the ER as they were trying to figure it all out and running test I did the same thing as I did at home 3 more times with my husband standing there each time the got me back. Second time it happened Dr said it looked like I was having seizures so ran a bag of Keppra threw my IV. They ran 2 different CT scan one on my head and one on my stomach everything come back fine. They also gave me a few different things for my stomach.

So in the long run please please if anyone is gonna do these challenges think twice I will never do another one again, it almost killed me. I can eat hot stuff all day long without an issue but yeah I won't be even doing that for a while.

Best way to describe what was happening was the heat from the peppers was coming up my stomach wrapping itself around my heart and squeezing the life out of it.

🐞drew out the circle 🐞measured, erased, measured again (the perfectionist in me) 🐞sketched out my idea (with help from a couple online ones i put into one board) 🐞made sure it was exactly what i wanted 🐞turned on the wood burner. (That bad boy is hot, 750 degrees BE VERY CAREFUL) 🐞ever so slowly started burning 🐞took mini breaks so i didnt rush it 🐞once each section was done smiled with what i did. 🐞 continued burning til i had to switch tool heads (had to wait for the tool to cool) 🐞switched to the new head and finished. 🐞i will have to place a clear coat on it, (i didnt on my other board)

Beginner's Guide to Pendulums

⛤Okay, so I have been wanting to put out a post about pendulums based on how I was taught to use them by my aunt, a long-time pendulum diviner and dowser. This post is based solely on our traditions and beliefs. I am NOT telling anyone that this is the one and only way to work with pendulums. Please do what works for you. If these methods suit you, fantastic! If not, it’s okay. Alright, buckle your seat belts ‘cause here we go.

⛤So, you want to use a pendulum. Cool! First you have to get one. There are several ways to obtain a pendulum. You can buy one from a specialty shop (many new age and crystal shops sell them). You can buy one online from places like Etsy, Ebay, and other places. You can even make one. All you need is a string or chain and something to hang from it. It can be as simple as a needle stuck in a cork hanging from some thread (as my great grandmother did). You can also use a piece of jewelry, such as a necklace or a lanyard as a pendulum. Find, make or buy one that is suitable for you.

⛤Now that you have a pendulum, it’s time to clear/charge it. A very important step when using a pendulum is to cleanse it, especially if you bought one. A pendulum in a store, even an online store, has been touched by many people. People have probably touched it to look at it, shop employees have probably touched it when they were putting out to be bought. The seller from an online shop has certainly touched it. All of these people touching the pendulum that you just bought have left residual energies on it. These energies can affect the accuracy of the pendulum. So, you have to cleanse it. I recommend you cleanse your pendulum the same way you do any of your magickal tools. If it’s made from a crystal, you can cleanse it the same way you cleanse your crystals. If you don’t know how to cleanse your pendulum, I was taught to start with a prayer/incantation/chant. Write one that explains your intention just like you would to write a spell. Be specific in your writing. If you want to work with your spirit guides, say that. If you want to work with your higher self, say that. Be specific in the kind of spirits you want to work with. Do you want to work with ancestors? Spirit animals? Etc. If you want to work spirits aligned with light, be specific on the type of light. Anyway, after you have your prayer/incantation/chant written down, you can begin to cleanse your pendulum. The cleansing ritual/ceremony/process can be a elaborate as you deem fit. When I cleansed mine, I didn’t go very elaborate, but if you need to go for it. There are several ways you can use to cleanse your pendulum. 1st, smoke cleansing. Just as you would use sage to cleanse a room, you can use it to cleanse your pendulum. Light a bundle of dried sage, or sage incense. Pass your pendulum through the smoke and say your prayer/incantation/chant. Do this for as long as you think is necessary. 2nd, visualization. Hold your pendulum in your hand and visualize it being surrounded by a brilliant white light. Focus on the residual energies being driven away and cleansed from your pendulum. Say your prayer/incantation/chant while you do your visualization. I used this method to cleanse my pendulum. I visualized putting the pendulum in a stream of white light and letting the light flow over it like water, cleansing away the residual energies. 3rd, if your pendulum is made of crystal, any crystal cleansing techniques will work to cleanse it (i.e. burying it, putting it in running water, burying in salt, putting it with cleansing crystals, such as clear quartz and selenite, etc.). If you made your pendulum, you might not have to worry so much about cleansing and charging it because you made it and it’s already aligned with your energy. However, if you bought your pendulum, after you have cleansed it you need to charge it with your energy. You can do this by carrying it around with you in your pocket and asking small, mundane questions. (I’ll explain this more later)

⛤Now you have a cleansed and charged pendulum. What’s next? Well, you need to program it. By programming, I mean you need to establish how your pendulum will work for you. This includes deciding how you want your pendulum to move based on certain responses to your questions. Now, I have seen many posts and read several books that say that you are supposed to ask the pendulum to show you how it will move for yes, no, maybe, I don’t know, etc. I was taught that you shouldn’t do this because it opens you up for potentially dangerous situations and it sets the precedent that the pendulum or the spirits communicating through the pendulum are in control. I was taught that this is potentially dangerous. I was also taught that this is your experience on this plane of existence. Because of that, you should be in control and do what you are comfortable with. The pendulum is a tool and the spirits communicating through it are guides that can only offer advice. Anyway, you should be the one who decides how the pendulum will move according to the different responses. My pendulum moves in a clockwise circle for “yes”, a counter-clockwise circle for “no”, back and forward for “maybe”, side to side for “I don’t know”, and it stays still for “please rephrase the question.” You can program your pendulum however makes you feel comfortable and however you will remember the meaning of the movements best. After all, what’s the point in asking a question if you can’t understand the answer?

Going back to charging the pendulum. Programming it actually goes into charging it. The more you use your pendulum, the more it becomes aligned to your energy. When you first start using your pendulum, begin by asking it mundane questions. Start with things that don’t have a significant impact on your life, such as what should a I eat for dessert, what color shoes should I wear, should I buy this thing. Simple stuff like that gets you used to your pendulum and it helps you remember your programming for it better. It also helps your pendulum become aligned with your energy and makes the responses more accurate.

⛤Using a pendulum is a great way to get advice on decisions you’re indecisive about. It’s also a wonderful tool for communicating with your spirit guides and companions.

⛥As you get more accustomed to using your pendulum, you can do other things with it. You can create charts to help you get more in depth information. For example, you can make a time table to help organize your tasks for the day. You can make a list of activities to do and when you are bored or don’t know what to do next, ask your pendulum. My aunt did this a lot with her kids. They would want to go outside to play and she would want them to do homework. She would dowse (ask her pendulum) on it and whatever the pendulum said is usually* what they did. Additionally, you can use your pendulum for spirit work. You can make a letter board (like a ouija board) and communicate with spirits. You can also use pendulum for Reiki work, using it to find blockages in the chakras. The list goes on and on.

I put an * next to “usually” in my little anecdote because as I said earlier, this is your experience on this plane of existence. Your pendulum and the spirits communicating through it can only offer advice. You have the ability to either listen to what your pendulum advises or not. That being said, in my experience the pendulum is usually right.

⛤Anyway, I know that was a super long winded post about pendulums. I hope you find the information useful. If using pendulums is something you want to do, go for it! I absolutely LOVE mine and I am so happy I had someone in my life who could teach me about them!

⛤Also: a good exercise to do with pendulums is to have two, one in each hand, and see if you can get them both to move in harmony with each other. This will show any weak energy flow in your body. It’s a good way to help build up that flow and make it stronger. I, personally, have to work on this with my right hand because it is significantly weaker than my left.

Pendulum 101

Alright, pals! Time to learn all about pendulum divination! Strengths: -Pendulums are best known for their ability to give quick yes/no answers! -Pendulums are don’t cost a lot of money and are easy to make. -Pendulums are very easy to pick up and learn quickly… no extensive training needed! Weaknesses: -Pendulums require a steady hand, which some people struggle with. -Pendulums don’t provide in-depth information, just surface-level answers. How To Do It: -First, set up a pendulum board. This can be a set board or cloth, or you can scribble it down on an index card. It’s traditionally two perpendicular lines, one for yes and one for no. Other things can be added as well! (Many people include a “Maybe,” “Rephrase the question,” add a circle of numbers or letters, even zodiac signs!) -Grab your pendulum and “set” it to the board. (I usually do this by tapping each point on the board with the pendulum and saying, “yes, no, one, two,” whatever is appropriate. -Give it a test run before asking the big questions. Ask it questions you already know, to make sure there isn’t anything interfering with the pendulum. Try to ask at least one yes and one no question! -Ask your question out loud. Then wait. Eventually the pendulum will start swinging towards your answer! How It Works: There are a few different schools of thought, here. Some say your Higher Self guides the pendulum, others say that spirits do. Some say the pendulum itself has a consciousness! Other people attribute its movements to the ideomotor effect. Many skeptics will try to discredit it this way. My personal response? So what if it uses the effect? We all know your subconscious is wayyy smarter than your conscious, so you probably know the answer to your question deep in your gut, somewhere and just need to bring it to the surface. This idea only increases the validity of pendulum divination, in my eyes. Tips: -You don’t need a fancy crystal pendulum. Any weighted object on a string will do! This includes necklaces, keys on lanyards, a needle and thread, you get the idea. -Pendulums are best used indoors in areas without drafts. These air movements could interfere with your reading! -I find it better to weigh my yes/no questions as a positive affirmation. For example, “Jenny likes me.” The yes/no response here would be very clear, where as “Jenny doesn’t like me” raises questions. Is a “No” because the statement is incorrect, or no because she doesn’t like you? Affirmations also give you the added help of gut feeling. If you say, “Jenny likes me,” and your gut feeling makes it feel like a lie, that’s important information. (Remember your subconscious is smart!) - If your pendulum is acting weird, try giving it a good cleanse! Sometimes they pick up “gunk” from extended use and get bogged down. -Pendulums are very useful for contacting spirits! If you hold your pendulum still and call for a spirit, they can signal their presence by moving it. I prefer this over tarot because tarot always guarantees a response, whether a spirit is there or not. Witchy Terminology

Here’s a list of terminology that has really helped me in my practice.

Altar – sacred space dedicated for a specific purpose such as spell-working or worshiping deities

Amulet – a charm usually worn for protection, to repel evil, and to absorb/banish negative energy

Astral Projection – the act of separating your astral body or your consciousness from your physical self; a voluntary out of body experience 

Astrology – the art and science of predicting certain events and patterns based on the observation of planetary movements and relationships and the study of how these movements and relationships affect terrestrial world events and the health, moods, relationships and personalities of individuals

Aura – a subtle luminescence that surrounds all objects hinting at the energy contained within

Banish – to forcefully remove something; to put an end to something

Bibliomancy/Stichomancy – divination using random pages and passages from books

Bind – to restrict the actions/behavior of someone or to tie them to another object, place, or situation

Book of Shadows – a book used to document spells, rituals, other magickal workings, and personal experiences

Cartomancy – divination using a deck of cards, i.e. tarot cards

Centering – to calm your emotions and focus on the task ahead; usually done after grounding

Ceromancy – divination using a candle/the flame of a candle

Channeling – also called “drawing;” to gather energy from an external source i.e. the sun or moon

Charged Water – non-consumable water that has been infused with oils, herbs, or energy from another source; used for cleansing, anointing, ritual work, etc.

Charging – to infuse an item with energy from either yourself or another source

Charm – an item that has been enchanted with a spell

Cleanse – to rid an object or space of negative energy

Consecrate – to “bless” an object, usually for a specific magickal purpose 

Curse – the act of causing misfortune to a victim; directing negative energy towards the target 

Deosil/Deocil – clockwise; generally used to invoke/evoke something, bring about positive energies, or to cast a circle

Divination – the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means

Dowsing – a type of divination employed in attempts to locate hidden items by using a dowsing rod or pendulum

Dream Work – any magickal or mystical work done in dream space, or while sleeping

Elixir – a potion made for medicinal purposes 

Enchanting – to infuse an object with magickal intent

Energy Work – any work that involves changes to the human energy field or subtle body

Evoke – to call a spirit or entity, to summon it forth, and to bring it into the place where you are, particularly in hopes of gaining its favor

Gem Elixir – an elixir infused with the energy of a crystal or mineral 

Grimoire – a kind of textbook used by magickal practitioners for reference; sometimes used interchangeably with “book of shadows”

Grounding – to release negative and excess energy

Hex – commonly used synonymously with “curse” to describe baneful spell work, but can also be used in reference to general spell work and those who practice it 

Incantation – the words used when casting a spell

Intent – your goal or purpose for spell work 

Invoke – to draw a spirit being or entity into your own body 

Meditation - a method of calming the mind, either by emptying it of thought or by focusing on one thing in order to reach a state of relaxation or an altered state of consciousness

Numerology – divination using the interpretation of numbers, dates, and the number value of letters

Palmistry – a form of divination that relies on the interpretation of the lines and structure of the hand

Pantheon – historically, a temple in Rome dedicated to all the Gods of the Roman people; in modern usage the word Pantheon has come to describe the family of Gods itself

Philter – a potion used specifically in love spells; love potion 

Poppet – a doll used to represent a target in spell work 

Potion – a consumable liquid that has been enchanted to produce magickal effects 

Psychometry – divination by touching an object and gaining impressions from it

Ritual – a series of actions performed in a pre-defined order

Runes – written symbols which represent sounds or ideas; can be used for divination 

Sachet – a small bag of herbs, crystals, or other objects that is meant to bring about a desired effect; essentially acts as a charm 

Sacred Space – any space that has been designated for a specific sacred purpose

Scrying – a method of divination that involves gazing into a reflective surface such as water, mirrors, or a crystal ball 

Shield – a personal protective barrier, similar to a ward

Sorcerer/Sorceress – used to describe someone who practices magick

Sorcery – the use of rituals, symbols, actions, gestures and language that are believed to exploit supernatural forces

Spell – a combination of words, actions and/or objects used in a symbolic way to bring about a magickal result

Talisman – an object used to attract or gain power or energy; can be worn

Tasseography – divination using tea leaves 

Uncrossing – the removal of a type of curse or “cross” that has been laid upon an individual that makes a certain area of their lives difficult because of negative energy that is attached to them causing them to see and experience only difficulties in that area

Ward – a protective barrier; may be maintained by a spell, a talisman, a symbol or some other physical or energy object

Widdershins – counter-clockwise; used to banish negative energy or take down a circle 

Witch/Wizard – used to describe someone who practices magick 

Witchcraft – the use of sorcery or magick to alter the physical world around you; used interchangeably with sorcery 

Zodiac – refers to the constellations that ring the apparent path the sun takes throughout the year
