Succession 4x01: The Munsters

Thoughts: immediately i realize a flaw in my plan: how am i supposed to "rate" this man? on what metrics am i to judge him? there is no guideline, rubric; thus far, i've run this blog on a "just vibes" framework. and now that is failing me. because this guy? he sucks! but that's just how succession is, and i WANT him to get worse. i want to see him become a truly disgusting little man. he cannot be scored on a one-dimensional scale. but then i remember i've literally never had anything remotely resembling consistency or sense on this blog and it's just been a while since i've done this. however i cannot move past this dilemma. so now as i write this, stoned as hell in the cafe where this blog started, i'm altering the scoring system. i'm getting rid of the Nick Score since this will all be the same season of television so i can't imagine it'll change much. Greg Score will be how satisfying greg's presence is in the episode. Disgusting Score is exactly what it sounds like. this guy sucks! show me him getting worse!! yes!!!! with that out of the way, onto the actual thoughts. i loved greg in this episode and i LOVE seeing him in distressing situations. he has rocks in his brain and i cringe a little while watching him but i enjoy it. i do love that he had no fear about insulting logan, he was READY and i find that interesting since he'd just had such an awkward encounter with logan and thus there's a lot he could be afraid of. but nope he just says it outright! someone had to! so i respect him for that. but man he sure did have a rough one in this huh. great start! what a loser.
