Ah.
It was him.
She didn’t even needed to raise her head to recognize who was the person behind that ‘lovely’ voice of his, that somehow she just wished could call her by her name, merely out of curiosity.
So far she only knew the name of the Agent, but more than that was the countless times there were security threats only because of his… little experiments, that surely gave Mel more than one headache. And besides that, being one of the few that are permanently wearing something on their heads was more so… intriguing, and also implied more work for her, after all.
❝A-agent Hermes.❞ Mel replied with a reserved smile, nodding back at him and moving to one side of the corridor so it could be easy for others to walk by them. ❝Have you… uh, found anything to keep yourself entertained lately? I- I believe you know what I’m talking about, right? Mind if I steal some of you time to discuss something…?❞
Hermes almost laughed, but all that escaped his lips was a small chuckle, barely audible through the speaker on his helmet. “No, I’m afraid I haven’t been up to anything too fun lately. Just paperwork and the like.”
Taking a page out of Mel’s book, he moved over to the wall. There wasn’t too much traffic around that area compared to others, but one grunt did pass them almost immediately, shying away from Hermes and his robotic gaze. Good. Fear was healthy. The grunts were better off uncomfortable in the presence of their superiors.
Hermes stuffed his hands into his pockets. The metal plating on parts of his gloves threatened to snag on the fabric of his pants, but somehow, he made the motion look smooth regardless. For all the strange and clunky components of his outfit, he managed to maintain a surprising amount of grace.
“I always have time for the Executives.” There was a smile in his voice, even if his face was hidden. “Steal as much of my time as you please.”
