{/Hearing him agree was definitely not something she had counted on. Granted, Yousuke usually always agreed to her silly ideas and demands. She honestly doesn’t know why she still expects him to tell her no half the time. Or maybe it was him always being busy or something that killed a good portion of her expectations? Regardless, she is pretty happy that he agreed to her little idea of a relaxing day.
Gently playing with his fingers, she gives a short nod of confirmation. Bringing a lunch would be nice. It would be like a little picnic date.}
“Yeah sounds nice. I do hope tha water ain’ too high taday. Tha’ would kinda suck ta sit on some wet grass ‘er somethin’, ya know?”
It does not occur to the male that this would be something akin of a date, and truth be told, it was probably in both of their best interests that it stays that way—until it is too late and they’re already settled by the waters, enjoying one another’s company. Yousuke was an interesting bundle of emotions, who’s confidence is so low, he may freak once the realization hits him. It isn’t because he doesn’t want to—he’s dreamed about these kinds of dates a good handful of times. It is his lack of experience that may be his own undoing.
“Even if it is, there is a nice table we can eat at,” he was quick to chime in, grinning wide. Of course, it would be nicer to sit by the water, in the grass, but he wasn’t going to let something as little as wet grass ruin this date.
Squeezing her hand, he gently started to tug her along towards the little eatery on the way to the plains, glad that JUNES did not put that place out of business, at least. “What’re you in the mood for, Nicole? Something sweet? Salty? Both?”
