Constantly remember how full of choices life is and how if you let your guilt or shame lead you instead of joy you truly will have no one to blame but yourself when you are living a life that feels heavy and constrained instead of happy and free

When you are not a child anymore you have to make decisions based on your own beliefs and no one else's and if you can't then no one is gonna save you - it's something you do for yourself regardless of how it looks to people around you and no one is gonna tell you to choose yourself

i just bathed in a stream in the middle of nowhere while little fish were nibbling on my legs and then went into town and got gas an ice cream sandwich and a seltzer and then drove back to camp and we are making group meal which means everyone throws in whatever ingredients they have to share and someone cooks it into a meal for everyone. tomorrow is a rain day so i think everyone is taking the day off and going into town together to get breakfast and do some other things. i keep smiling to myself as if i have a little secret because i am free
