I. The mun of thisĀ role-play blog supports and adheres to Tumblrās TOS and Community GuidelinesĀ and will not agree to role-play with other muns found in violation of the general TOS or Community Guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, malicious speech, harm to minors, unmarked sensitive content, etc.
II. The mun of this role-play blog is above the age of 18 and will not agree to role-play with underage individuals, especially where explicit MA content is concerned. This role-play blog does not support pedophilia or the exploitation of minors and will report any such activity or attempts by other muns to encourage this blog to promote such activity to the appropriate channels. Underage role-players who misrepresent their ages in order to role-play with blogs who post explicit MA content are not welcome or encouraged to contact this blog. This is a blog that will contain MA content (graphic violence, sexual situations, etc.) and it has been flagged as such.Ā
III. The mun of this role-play blog respects that people may role-play for many different reasons and with many different intents; however, they do not consider that an excuse for bullying, harassment, or other negative/toxic behaviors by other muns and any suspected individuals contributing to and/or creating a harmful environment for role-playing will be summarily blocked and blacklisted. The mun takes this issue very seriously and there will be no second-chances or three-strike policies if someone is found to be involved in a pattern of bullying, harassment, or malicious behavior of other role-players or people on this site.
IV.Ā The mun of this role-play blog should not be confused with the muse. The in-character thoughts, actions, etc. of the muse are not a reflection or endorsement of those held by the mun.
V. The mun of this role-play blogās ask and submit boxes are open for both rp-related and ooc-related content. They do ask for your patience as their time for role-playing may be more limited. If they do not immediately respond it does not necessarily mean they are ignoring you.Ā
VI. The mun of this role-play blog is selective and requests that you do not just follow and tag them in starter-posts without first having contacted them (via chat or ask) to discuss your interest in role-playing together. The mun does not appreciate when others make assumptions and they like to see if they can jive with your character(s) and writing/rping style before they commit to role-playing with you due to the limitations of their time.Ā
VII: The mun of this role-play blog promises to always try to give you an advanced notice if they see they may be slow to respond and they welcome you to contact them if you feel they have forgotten and/or abandoned your thread. They also reserve the right to drop threads where they feel they cannot generate enough interest or have run out of ideas/hit a writer's block but, with the exception of your conduct being the reason for the mun dropping the thread, they will be polite and give you notice they are unable to continue. VIII. On a related note, the mun of this role-play blog requests that if you approach them for a role-play that you try to have a basic idea in mind or that you are open and willing to collaborate on any ideas for a role-play. This is an LSRPGĀ blog so story-driven threads will be preferred and more quickly accepted than free-style requests. The mun also reserves the right to deny yourĀ request for a role-play or to reject role-play tropes or suggestions you may have that are not to their taste/preference (see mun preferences below for an idea of what topics/ideas may not be accepted).Ā
šĀ Role-play Etiquette & Rules:Ā š
General Conduct/Etiquette:
I. None of the various forms of god-modding or power-playing will be tolerated and if I feel that they are becoming a problem Iāll notify you. If the behavior continues then I will be forced to drop you as a role-playing partner.Ā
I-A. This includes making assumptions based on details the mun may know but that the muse should not have access to and/or includingĀ āoff screenā information about my muse in relation to your own that we had not previously discussed and that I did not give my consent to (see more details about how this may apply to Canon-Canon or Canon-OC interactions and shipping below).Ā
I-B. Regarding how this can factor into character death or pking, do not take advantage of the fact that I am limited in what I can have my muse do in response to your own. I do not appreciate being forced into writing OOC behavior or being placed in a position where I have to drum up some weak justification for why your muse was able to push all of my museās buttons (either by random efforts atĀ curb-stomping or woobification) and not have him go into a rage and maim and/or kill yours (especially if they are supposed to be considerably weaker in terms of power-level) simply because Iām trying to be respectful of role-play etiquette and avoid god-modding or pking. Iāve seen this happen often with villains, so I ask that you be mindful of who my muse is and try to work with me in respectfully navigating our charactersā interactions.
II. In general, I ask you to respect that my preferences may not be your preferences (see a full list of mun preferences below). Just because my muse is one you want to interact with that does not mean that weāll jive as muns. If Iāve given a firm no on certain ideas or preferences of yours then I expect you to recognize that my turning you down is not a matter of me casting judgment onto you or opening the door for further debate or an argument. I am merely asserting my right to control my own role-play experience and write the content that I enjoy. The best thing you can do is to find someone whose preferences do align with your own if you see Iām unwilling to consent to certain kinds of content you like, do not attempt to force it or gaslight/manipulate/bully me into giving you what you want.Ā
II-A. Likewise, your headcanons for my muse may not be the same as my headcanons for my muse. How I choose to play my muse is up to me and it is not your place to try to force your headcanons for my muse onto me because you have a specific fantasy or vision youād like to see happen. You would do better to find another mun who may play the muse the way you prefer or may be more receptive to your headcanons if I tell you I donāt want to write my muse that way.
II-B. Please notify me when weāre discussing the possibility of role-playing together if you have any specific triggers or content you want to avoid. This does not have to be limited to shipping/sexually explicit triggers, it can also be related to certain types of violence, etc. given the nature of my muse and Iāll do my absolute best to avoid them.Ā
III. It goes without saying that if you see me role-playing on a thread marked [Closed] it is between me and the other role-player. Do not post on threads marked [Closed.] Unless I have specifically marked a thread as [Open] that generally means I do not want other people to respond.Ā
IV. If you intend to and/or want to time-skip in a thread, please notify me in advance so that Iām not left confused or forced to drop plot-ideas or responses I had planned on exploring.Ā
V. Given the muse I am playing, I am going to be highly selective about who I write fight-scenes with. I ask that you speak to me via ask, chat, etc. beforehand so we can work out the logistics, direction, limitations, etc. before we begin writing together. I also reserve the right to turn down any requests for a spar or fight-scene or to drop a thread (see vii in the general guidelines above) when I feel that weāre not a good fit or that I canāt generate the creative interest I need to be able to continue.Ā
VI. As I will always do my best to notify you if or when I cannot continue a thread (general guidelines vii) I ask that you do the same. If youāre unable or unwilling to continue a thread weāve started, please let me know.Ā
VII. I do accept one-response prompts via ask and as they are one-response prompts I tend to be more relaxed about their content.
VIII: This will be a more serious, plot-driven role-play blog so I will be steering away from random crack and non-story-driven role-plays (see mun preferences below for more information).Ā
VIIII. During periods of high thread count or requests, I will prioritize the serious on-going threads I already have in play (averaging one-thread per partner). New requests will be placed on a queue and I respectfully ask that you be patient as my off-line schedule does limit my availability.Ā
Formatting & OOC Guidelines:
I. I respectfully ask that muns interested in role-playing with my muse please avoid post-splicing (where you copy and paste portions of my post into your own post in order to reply to it in spliced segments). It only serves to make threads unnecessarily unwieldy and as a personal preference, I find it aggravating.
II: On that note, you do not have to match me in length and I hold you to no obligation to do so. I would respectfully ask that you give me enough content to be able to respond to you adequately in any serious thread but beyond that, I do not have specific requirements about paragraph length or the number of words/sentences you use.Ā
III: Where the mun acknowledges that brevity can be the soul of wit, I still ask that muns not reply in serious threads solely with action-gifs and nothing else by way of a response. This is a serious role-play blog and Iām going to need more than animated gifs from your muse if you want me to feel inspired to continue role-playing with you.Ā
III: While I respect the creative freedoms and preferences of other rpers, as a personal preference I would ask that any interested parties consider avoiding the use of the first-person narrative perspective when writing for their muse in threads with me. It may make the experience more immersive for you but it has the opposite effect for me and Iāll be more out to reject requests by people who prefer to write using first-person perspectives for their muses.Ā
IV: Please use indicators (( )) [ ] of some kind in role-play threads for OOC commentary.Ā
V. In order to avoid a serious role-play thread from becoming spammed by OOC when the commentary becomes longer than the IC responses, please move it to its own OOC thread or a chat.Ā
šĀ AUs, Crossovers, OCs:Ā Ā š
I. Regarding AUs, I am open to them. However, I do have a few preferences and limitations. I do not enjoy slice-of-life, coffee-shop, high-school AUs, or college AUs. I reserve the right to deny or accept your quest for AU threads.Ā
II. Similarly, I am open and interested in crossovers. Although I do tend to have a personal preference for avoiding anime/live-action crossovers because it tends to push my ability to immerse myself into a thread or suspend my disbelief and take a plot-line seriously. It would need to be a very good suggestion for me to be able to get around that where anime/live-action crossovers are concerned. Iām willing to hear you out but I still reserve the right to say yes or no.Ā
III. I am open to having my muse interact with your OC barring you have a profile available on your blog I can read to see if I feel your OC would be interesting to have my muse interact with (for further details about OC interactions see below). As always, I reserve the right to deny or accept your request for a role-play.Ā
šĀ Shipping & Character Relationships:Ā š
I.Ā I am willing to multiship for those who are interested. This may or may not be subject to change, however, for the time being, I am not interested in exclusive-shipping with a single person's muse. So, if we do agree to a ship and you see that Iām also shipping my muse with another munās muse, do not take it personally or as permission to be passive-aggressive or hostile to that mun. I will block and blacklist any individual suspected of harassment on the basis of shipping. I have zero tolerance for that kind of behavior, you have been warned.
I-A. The mun does not discriminate where ships are concerned. I am open to Canon, Crossover, and OC lgbtqa+ pairings, in addition to het and more general slash content.Ā
I-B. Although I am open to all racial pairings, when we get into the matter of alien species there may be certain limits. I absolutely do not write graphic bestiality or incest/pseudo-incestual pairings.Ā
II. I reiterate what I have stated above, this blog will contain explicit, MA content and it is not open to muns who are underage. I would also prefer not to enter into sexually explicit role-play threads with anyone who is not in their mid-20s at least as I am in my 30s and the thought of writing sexually explicit material with someone too much younger than me does make me uncomfortable. This doesnāt mean I wonāt write with you if youāre 18+ but still on the younger side of that, it merely means Iāll request we do a fade-to-black before our threads become too explicit. Iāll also likely drop you as a partner if I learn youāve been lying to me about being younger so you can do explicit role-plays, as that is a violation of trust and my boundaries.Ā
II-A. On that note, I am not going to entertain underage pairings. Period. Even if the mun is of age, I do not write pedophilic content or pseudo-pedophilic content that emphasizes age-gaps, age-play, etc.Ā
III. I will also reiterate again, please notify me of any triggers you may have when writing explicit content and let me know what your boundaries are. I will do the same, and I ask that you respect my own limits as well.Ā
IV. If you want a ship/pairing with my muse but youāre not interested in explicit content then notify me and we can write around that. I do not mind writing up to the point of actual sexual content and then doing a fade-to-black. In some cases, I may prefer that myself.Ā
V. This is not solely a shipping blog and my interest in shipping is highly selective. Do not be offended if I turn down your request for a pairing, as there may be any number of reasons I have. I am also not interested in ships that would require I spend all my time writing smut. I enjoy relationship building more than I do PWP so Iāll be more out to accept requests that require we spend more time establishing the dynamic between our characters.Ā
VI. Itās important to understand that I will not be forcing ships onto you and I ask that you do not attempt to force a ship onto me. Please, contact me in advance of attempting to establish any pairing, via ask or chat. You may feel the chemistry is there but I may not or it just may not interest me or I may be too busy for a ship or any number of valid reasons why I may reject a ship idea. You have every right to turn down requests for ships and so do I. That does not mean Iāll drop you as a role-playing partner but I do believe communication is important and that we be open, honest, and clear about our intentions.Ā
VI-A. On that note, I am open to your muse having unrequited feelings and/or UST for my muse so long as you donāt attempt to use that to force a ship or pairing Iāve already turned down. I reserve the right to do so and should I change my mind, Iāll notify you but please do not repeatedly harass me about a ship Iāve expressed no interest in or I may be forced to drop you as a role-playing partner.
VII. Any threads that contain explicit sexual content will be tagged NSFW so that they can be black-listed by anyone uncomfortable with viewing such content. I am also willing to place explicit sexual content behind aĀ āRead Moreā upon request for those who feel shy or uncomfortable with having that content on open display.
VIII. Once more, do not confuse my muse with the mun. Just because I have agreed to have my muse enter into a relationship with your own that does not mean that we are in a romantic relationship or that I have a romantic interest in you. Do not confuse fiction for reality and if you begin to make me feel uncomfortable, I may have to stop posting with you.Ā
Canon and OC Relationships:
I. Pre-existing relationships (platonic or otherwise) that have been established within the canon-verse will be acknowledged by my muse. However, I still reserve the right to reject invitations to role-play, even if your muse is a canon character.Ā
II. If you play a canon character who doesĀ not already have a pre-existing relationship (platonic or otherwise) with my muse, please contact me with any requests. Do not attempt to force any headcanons you may have about your muse with my own without consulting me first. I will not acknowledge a non-canon pre-established relationship unless we have discussed the possibility in advance. In all likelihood, I will stop role-playing with you if you attempt to force a headcanon onto my muse.
III. If you play an OC, you must have my permission if you want that OC to be related to, in a relationship with, or in any way previously connected to my muse in a role-playing thread. I will not acknowledge any attempts to link an OCās backstory to my muse without discussion taking place first and I reserve the right to reject any suggestions or connections to my muse I do not like or that I do not feel aligns with my own headcanons for the character.Ā
IV. Aside from a very few exceptions, I am not interested in writing pre-established relationships or insta-love/romances. Which means you have to be willing to be patient with me and let me build a dynamic between our characters before any ship can happen. I also need to feel comfortable with you, so role-playing with you for a while and getting to know you, your muse, and your writing style will go a long way towards making me more open to certain types of content and pairings.Ā
IV-A. Concerning character pregnancies, I am specifically against you springing them on me. Unless I have agreed, do not expect me to go along with any attempts to force a āsurpriseā pregnancy plot onto me. If you force the issue, I will drop you as a role-playing partner.
V. Although I do not subscribe to the Mary Sue/Gary Stu judgments (largely because they are more commonly used to trivialize women in fandom spaces seeking out the same fantasy-fulfillment that has been accepted as normal for male fans for many years) this is an LSRPG blog, so the quality of your ideas, writing, character development, etc., will all be factors when it comes to my final decision to accept or decline a role-play with you. Even if it will not be the sole factor and other concerns, such as my time limitations, may have contributed as well.Ā
