Here’s To You - Joan Baez

Ennio Morricone did the orchestration for this song. It’s about two Italian anarchists (Nicola and Bart) who were sentenced to death and executed by the United States in the 20s, and the consensus is that they were killed more because they were easy scapegoats due to their political beliefs rather than any evidence they were guilty of murdering two men during an armed robbery. 

And without knowing any of that horrible tragedy, this piece of music has brought me to tears more than once. It’s beautiful and powerful.
