Or do you mean a boarder crossing, where you have to fight your way through 10,000 boarding school students that don’t even go home for the weekends in order to get from Mexico to the USA? Because they only put those on the Arizona border and, I believe, on the Canadian crossings closest to Toronto.

I have a soft-top convertible, is it safe to run it through an automatic car wash?

Octopus Car Wash, which I have mentioned in this blog before, recommends that you come by and ask them if you have a car with special requirements. You could also call them and ask, I guess.

We have a lot of hipsters in ABQ. They hang out outside of Wining and nurse a cup of coffee for three hours while they judge you.

Last I checked, the Winning crowd seemed to skew more hippie-ish than hipster-ish. Granted, there is a certain amount of overlap in that bubble, with the vegan soup and the gauged ears and the ethnically inappropriate dreadlocks.

Also I think they’re outside because that is, like, the meeting group of a certain clique of people who like to smoke and drink the coffee there, which is really fucking good.

The moral of this story is that there are like 10,000 different definitions of the word “hipster” and Winning has really good coffee. Also I have to stop myself every time I type the name of this place because it used to be RB Winning’s and recently it has dropped some of the letters out of its name and it sounds wrong to me now.

Are there hipsters in Albuquerque? I'm curious since I didn't see any of those vintage-style black frame plastic glasses or skinny jeans. What percentage of jeans in Albuquerque would you classify as skinny?

So I asked someone who has lived in other cities if we have hipsters and she said that we didn’t, but apparently skinny jeans are just regular fashion now and no longer hipster fashion, at least for women, which I can confirm.

As far as I can tell, with my information from hipsters coming from the internet, we do have many of the type who shop at Urban Outfitters, who may not qualify as “real hipsters”. But they do buy their uniforms there.

I also hear a lot of people using “hipster” as a word for “youngsters who do things I don’t like, such as play their rap and/or rock and roll too loud and who I will chase off of my lawn while yelling raggedly and waving a cane”. We definitely have those people.

Hey, so I know this is out of what I usually do here, but I want to let everyone know that there is a protest going on tomorrow against the Albuquerque Police Department, which has fatally shot 23 people since 2010.

It is a well-known fact that all chemistry teachers make meth. This is why meth is so inexpensive. It’s also why you’re pretty much offered meth all the time, like, whenever you go by the park there are people smoking meth or whatever and they usually offer you some. That’s because there’s just so much meth from all those chemistry teachers, and also because most dealers offer a program where when you refer a friend to them, you get your next meth for free.

why was the finale so disappointing?

Almost all finales are disappointing.

I mean, everyone knew from the beginning that Walter was going to die, so I doubt anyone was expecting some big happy ending. But I think most of the problem is that very, very few beloved TV shows (or books or video games for that matter) that last for more than a few (seasons/games/books/iterations of any kind) end up with endings that actually satisfy everyone.

I mean, here is a list of things with disappointing finales and epilogues:

Battlestar Galactica

Harry Potter

Mass Effect

LOST

Fullmetal Alchemist (so I hear) (not the brotherhood one)

And if you include things that just go super downhill and get shitty so they have a bad finale but the bad finale is just the poop cherry on a shit cake that should’ve been cancelled long before, the list gets even longer.

With buying season five, I saw two in the store so I just bought one and it only had 8 episodes on it. Does the one with "remember my name" on the cover have the other eight episodes?

I was confused by this question not just because I haven’t seen Breaking Bad but because I forgot they still make DVDs.
