Beyond the Box

I hate that feeling....you know the "feeling". The alone one that creeps up at the worst times? The heart sinking sadness that engulfs your entire existence and suddenly you feel like you're just not enough. You feel like no one notices you, no one understands you, and that no one wants you. So quickly you're pulled from happiness into a dark box where no one is trying to get you out. You sit in the dark and you feel uncertain, you want to cry, you feel like you'll never be saved. Alone. Only you. And for a long time that scares you. It makes your heart hurt, it makes you doubt your worth in this world, this life, and this existence. When you feel that way remember that while you're in that box, it's sound proof. You don't hear clearly....you don't see....it's dark. You can't feel how many people are just outside those walls trying so hard to tell you to come out.....the door isn't even locked. Sometimes....we lock ourselves in small dark boxes with no hope, and when you do that, you just have to look for the door. That door can be believing in yourself, it can be realizing that you're all that you need, it could be coloring the walls of that box with vivant colors of your imagination.... Just remember that the door is never locked and that box doesn't contain you. There's happiness just beyond the walls.
