Can Curiosity Really Kill A Cat? || thelostmuseofhistory
The succeeding nights suddenly turned hell.
Sher can manage three to four days without drinking blood, but now, for no apparent reason she feels very thirsty.
Of course she did try and drank blood. Finish almost three bottles but it couldn’t sate her thirst still.
All she could remember was the girl’s blood.
That sweet mixture of perfection plus the sudden stillness of her mind, making her able to think well. As clear as night.
She’s beginning to understand what just happened to her, as well as the bond she made with that Bidder.
She was getting paler than usual. So, once again, she set out back to the town. Sher could feel the woman’s presence clearly and she felt that she’s approaching her flat. Few more minutes and she was standing outside the window of the woman’s place, waiting for the other to notice her.
She has to feed from her again. She has to.
Sher finally tapped the glass window. She couldn’t see clearly since it was covered with a curtain from the inside.
The calm and quiet faded after a few hours, coinciding with when the marks from the feeding began to heal, leaving Quinn in a rush of noise again. She hadn’t left her flat in days. The resounding headache had made her unable to function at all, like a high that she couldn’t escape from.
Food was lacking in her fridge, but she made do with what she had, shutting the doors and windows up tight to not let any light in. A small candle sufficed to not irritate her mind as much. Every new scent and sound was playing hell on her mind, overwhelming her psyche with the noise of the city outside.
Curled up on the sofa with soft soothing music in the background, she was disturbed from her thoughts by a distinct tapping on her window. Immediately, she pulled up the mental wards she had been relaxing, locking her mind up tight before she uncurled out of her nest of blankets, opening the curtains covering the window to see the vampire that had saved her a few days before.
Compulsion, perhaps, made her open the window and step back, retreating to her blankets again, looking at her expectantly.
"What can I do for you?"
Sher hesitated going inside. The sole of her boots were covered in dirt and mud and it would leave a mess if she were to step in.
However, due to her dire need to have this done and over with, she finally stepped in. Eyes fixated in the only person inside the room as her hand moved to close the window.
"You certainly know what I need from you." Her voice was an octave lower, inviting. "You felt it too, didn't you? That stillness of everything. The peace it brought you. And you wish for it to happen again... do you not?"
She moved quietly, and in an instant, there she was, sitting in front of the mortal. "I can give it to you." Sher's hand caressed the woman's cheek, hoping she would say yes. "As long as you give me what I need."
