Modern Diet is an indie R&B band based in New York City that just dropped their second EP, "Chemicals" this past Tuesday. The project shows impressive maturation from their 2013 "Commuter" EP which was also strong, if less cohesive.
Closer "Umbrella Gun" is a particular highlight, but the whole project is well worth your time.

TRYING TO MANIPULATE SOME OF THESE DIGITAL RECORDINGS THROUGH MY TASCAM PORTASTUDIO. IF YOU DON'T PRESS THE PLAY BUTTON DOWN ALL THE WAY IT AFFECTS THE PITCH OF THE PLAYBACK. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PITCH CONTROL KNOB, THIS CREATES SOME VERY COOL EFFECTS. THE DRUM BEAT ALREADY SOUNDS THICKER WHEN PLAYED BACK ACROSS THIS CASSETTE TAPE. IT HAS MORE GRIME ON IT. I MIGHT LOAD UP SOME EXAMPLES.
THIS WAS THE FIRST PROMO VIDEO FOR SLIGHTLY ELEVATED. I'M LOOKING TO DO MORE VIDEO WORKING THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. AT SOME POINT I WOULD LIKE FOR EVERY SONG ON THE ALBUM TO HAVE SOME SORT OF VIDEO ACCOMPANIMENT. NEXT ON THE AGENDA IS THE DYE VIDEO. WE'RE GONNA NEED GALLONS OF CONDIMENTS.

Since 1902 released a new EP!
"This is the result of death, disaster, and frustration. In the few months it came about, tornadoes ripped through missouri and my grandfather passed away. Serving as both therapy and an attempt to reconcile with a string of horrible events, Tornado Choir is frustration. It's love. It's confusion. It's easy to look at things from the outside, but when you're in the middle of it, it's surprising how real and terrifying it can be."
The EP is free, but all proceeds go to tornado relief in missouri!
