I have the world’s sweetest, most amazing best friend 💕 moving back to NC has been great & great for me in so many ways, but I’d be lying if I said being away from TN was easy. That’s partly bc black color is a dominant gene thereby making black cats more abundant, but it’s also bc black cats on average take longer than others to be adopted, which tends to lead to euthanasia. Perhaps more people are more superstitious than they thought they were & see these babies as bad luck, but w/e the reason.. How sad it is that these beauties are so often euthanized bc too many go unadopted.
