FULLY NATURAL 2/2 #tbt Last Fri 8 Aug was my One Year Hairniversary aka #Nappyversary aka #OneYearNatural! So I felt to share my journey for those who are interested. I have loved going natural, learning and loving each curl as I grew out my relaxed hair. A big motivation was my daughter letting her love her curls by seeing how I live mine. Trust me I loved my relaxers and the brush and go lifestyle but I wouldn't go back. Natural hair is SO versatile as I'm learning with each new length. Stats: Last relaxer was July '13 Transitioned (slowly grew out) for 13 months Big Chopped 8 Aug '14 Inspirations: Fusion of cultures, Naptural85, Hair the Beat, Natural Janelle, Neno Natural, Kimmaytube & Green Beauty Channel.

My first colour on natural hair! Much more subtle than expected. What do you think?

This is my first successful twist out. I left my twists in for about a week. Before I would always twist overnight and take out in the morning but the definition was rubbish, this time was much better. Also, with short hair, I went for much smaller twists than before (stored trying to copy twists by natural with long hair who unless need 4-8 twists per head!). The combination of smaller twists and a longer time frame heeled me get this nice definition. I'm happy.

Cornrows to rest my hands and my hair. As Amandla Sanberg said, they are "necessary to keep hair looking neat" and I would add healthy and able to grow.
