Today, I’m going to go looking for Cost Plus Christmas ducks. I love this little wintery duck.  I think the magenta is a strange choice, but I do really like it. This duck is a classy touch on winter with its snowy feathers and all that.

In college, I felt somewhat spirited about Christmas.  I’m not sure that it was the decoration and music and family time or whatever.  It may have just been that I viewed Christmas as an ultimate break because I’d be returning to California from Minnesota (which, I’m convinced this visit and break from winter is the only way I was able to keep sane and living for the entirety of the school year).  In addition to the pleasant weather, there were no papers to write over break. No work to do. I could read all kinds of sci-fi.

This is a pretty nice snowperson duck.  The hat is pretty small, but fitting, and I actually think this duck is a little over decorated with all the little green details. I like the holly on the hat, but I think the designer basically thought, How can I top last year? And it didn’t work.
