brent chua is a casting director and photographer based in new york city. born in manila to a family of five boys, he grew up appreciating various forms of art including architecture, photography and fine art, influences learned from his mother and that animate his photography. previously a model, chua has spoken on the necessity of respectful environments for models and those across the industry for continued growth, often considered a mentor for fresh creatives. when not working, he enjoys reading, such as the works of haruki murakami, envisioning at times he is one of the characters in real life, ever valuing the dynamics of play.
