Breyerfest 2016 Thoughts...

I’m so super excited for Breyerfest! Even though I’m not able to go this year, I always look forward to hunting down Special Runs! I decided that I’d share my opinions of this years SRs!

First up, Mamacita y Chico. I adore this pair! Made on the new Eberl Andalusian mare and foal. I love their shading and color. The foal Chico is a nice mealy bay or dun color with lots of highlights and shading. So cute! Mamacita’s coloring and shading are beautiful as well, but I’m hoping her dapples don’t get fish-scaly. If she’s not fishy, this set will be an absolute stunner! I only hope that Mamacita doesn’t have the tippy issue that Weather Girl has, since they’re both in similar poses.

Next up is Zebu, this year’s non-horse mold! I love love LOVE the Brahma Bull mold!! His horns and eyes are super detailed and I love his pattern! Will probably be hunting this guy down. So freaking cute!!!

Next up is Furano. I can honeslty say that I’m a bit disappointed in this one. I like S Justadream, but her color is kind of...meh. And she has dun striping when she’s supposed to be dapple grey??? And the gloss really doesn’t bring anything to the table since her color is so pale.  I don’t know, I’m just not feeling her. Maybe I’ll change my mind seeing her in hand, but from the pictures this one is unfortunately meh.

Next up is Namid. This is another one I’m kind of love/hate. She’s on the Forever Saige mold, which looks SUPER funky in pictures. Her neck looks really disproportional, though people who actually own her say it’s not that bad. The one thing I adore about her is her shading. She looks like she has super deep shading, so she’s not a flat black like Cortes C. I love shaded blacks, so this one is another one that I’m reserving judgement for.

Next up, Bozeman! I LOVE THIS HORSE. I WANT HIM SO BADSHGAHJDSGHJAHJ anyway. The Wyatt mold is one of my favorites of the new molds, and this blue roan pinto coloring is to die for! Did I mention he has blue eyes???! This horse hits all my sweet spots, so he’s definitely coming home with me at some point.

This is Sheila! Yet another horse that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. She’s on the new Bobbi Jo mold. Her chestnut coloring is amazing, and I love her pinto markings! I love the shading in her mane and tail! This one is another one that’s coming home with me, pronto.

This is Estrela do Carnival! He’s on the Silver mold, which means it’s an automatic yes. I also love the Pegasus customization! I hope the colors are as clean and vibrant as they are in the pictures, because he looks fantastic! I love the little dancer on his belly! I love the contrast between the brown/mauve and the bright colors! All in all, number three on the list of Breyers I Must Have In My Collection.

This one is a Store Special, named Dag Dia. OMG LOVELOVELOVELOVE!!!! I’ve always wanted a black Friesian on this mold! I also love the fact that they used the Laredo mane and tail. I’m hoping he won’t be outrageously expensive, because I want him sooooooooooo bad!!!

Last but not least, the other Store Special Diablo DC. Another one I would absolutely loooove to have!! The Desatado mold is an instant win with me, and I love the dapple grey with black points. Really really hope he’s going to be affordable!!!

Ahhhh my wallet is already crying and it’s not even Fest time!! What are your guys’ favorites? Which ones are absolutely coming home with you?

Much Excite

Ok, first off I’ve got a lot to catch up on here. I’ve added tons of new models, some new releases and some minor Grails. Recently scored a Windtalker for a crazy price ($49.99, free shipping and he’s in box!). I also bought my first DAH from Stone, so I’m mega excited to see him.

I also nabbed a Toro for a great price! My Nokota conga is now up to...6? I think? Smarty Jones conga is now up to 5, the only ones I need that are attainable are Rushmore and the original Smarty Jones.

As for new releases, I grabbed a Babyflo, Cortes C, Banks Vanilla and Valegro. Still wanting the grab the Classic Rock n’ Roll forever translucent model, along with the Butterfly Kisses one...they’re both so cute! I also adore Harper <3 I love Rhapsody in Black, but I hate how tippy that mold is. I only have one Weather Girl due to the tippiness. And Carltonlima Emma I think I’d like better if she wasn’t so flat black.

Super excited for Brunello, though! I love Idocus and have been yearning for one in chestnut...so awesome! Can’t wait to see the rest of the mid-year releases (though my budget is already crying). Especially with Breyerfest approaching! Not to mention this year’s Holiday Horse *drools*

I went and splurged a bit to buy one of the Breyerfest 2013 horses, Two-Step. I was absolutely drooling over this model ever since he was first unveiled, so naturally I found one for a decent price and (accidentally) won him.

Haven't decided on a name for him yet, algebra, C++ classes and garage sale preparations have all but taken over what little brain I have left, haha!

My very first Peter Stone. Found him for a great price on eBay, so I couldn't resist. He's the model "Adams", painted in a very dark rose grey with dapples. I can't believe how detailed his face and eyes are <3
