friends to enemies to lovers over enemies to friends to lovers

enemies to friends to lovers. is. good. its good. but the inherent pathos of. enemies to lovers When They Were Already Friends Before... hoo!!! 

like the former friendship inevitably complicates the enemyship, whether in a “i hate them even more bc betrayal” way or “please just fucking stop it just stop doing this we were friends” or “why are you doing this” or whatever. so thats extremely fraught. and then that complication extends to the making up / getting together bits w like, “can i really trust them again” or “ah... Finally” or just like. intense feelings! its. good. its good. its good.

I Love Franziska Von Karma

hi im playing ace attorney game name of ‘justice for all’ and meeting franziska von karma and: i love her? so much? like shes horrible and is doing horrible things and has a wildly skewed worldview and sense of justice and oh god she cares about her baby brother who’s half a dozen years older than her SO much…

every time i open jfa again after a month (im bad at remembering to play video games often but its fine i want to play it so ill eventually get around to it) i think about franziska and edgeworth’s relationship and get extremely emotional… its good! its really interesting as a depiction of a complicated sibling relationship where they were both emotionally abused and it really strongly affected both of them and their relationship but they care about each other a lot and are making decisions with each other as a priority!!!

i have more thoughts about this but i want to finish the game first - im in the last trial now and its like. relevant SO

Oh boy, if you like their relationship in JFA you should check out Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth 1 and 2 - Miles is the main character and Franziska appears in multiple cases (there’s also a flashback that I don’t wanna spoil but I will say it gives you a look at their relationship growing up which is fucking adorable).

im reading Raven Sacrament by Yoon Ha Lee and im only a couple chapters in. i noticed jedao nodding to the servitors around and was like *pointing loudly* that,s a cheris thing, to do and my housemate was like ‘yeah but heres MY theory: jedao is doing these things that the reader would notice but no one in universe would to trick YOU into thinking cheris is in there, to manipulate you.’
