Does anyone ever feel like your friends are having problems the same time that you are but theirs are worse so you decided to just keep yours to yourself so you donât sound like a selfish person?
Itâs not selfish. Itâs more selfish to hide it and potentially hurt the people that care about you.
If you're struggling with something, that means it's hard
Here are some common reasons why something might be hard for you
your brain/body doesnât allow you to do it the ânormalâ way and so you have to compensate in a harder way
youâre trying to do something moderately hard while also feeling physically/mentally terrible (which itself is hard - think of trying to do a simple task while juggling. Not so simple anymore)
something else in your life is effecting this
Donât beat yourself up for not being able to do something âeasy.â Itâs hard because itâs *actually hard*. If it wasnât youâd just do it.
Ps- be super proud of what you, do even if itâs easy for others. Accomplishing âsmallâ things while feeling bad is something to celebrate
So true
Just try to be positive and watch how fast your life changes.
Depression is not only sadness..its a lot more.
Exactly.Â
Here are some of depression stages. Do you see yourself in some of them?
Everythingâs falling apart and Iâm too tired to do anything about it.
HOPE project
Rules:
1. Anytime you want to drink/cut/self harm. Write a letter of HOPE (start with H and go on) on you with marker.
2. Continue every time you want to self harm in any way.
3. When you get all the way through HOPE you have to sit/stand infront of a mirror and say 3 things you like about yourself. Then you can start over with HOPE again. Adding another thing each time you finish.
4. If you do self harm when you have HOPE started on you, you have to write, âhold onâ on yourself with a different color marker.
5. Other people can add a letter in a different color to make your HOPE go quicker.
6. Your goal is to write hope as few times as you can and spread HOPE to other people.
