A little bit of progress on this today. Tiny bit of recolouring, and more detailing on her head and hair.
Work in progress for a painting I started a few days ago. Having a crack at a more painterly look to the brushwork - it's kind of requiring me to be more confident with my colour selection. Big ask of a colour blind dude but there you go.
Fragment of a painting I started yesterday, cut out and shrunk down by 50%. I know I shouldn't noodle one area so much before working on other parts of the image but I just can't help but work eyes up long before anything else is finalised.
Finally, a selection of head customisation options for the Survivalist. I suppose all that remains from here is to design each characters melee weapons and class mods.

Concepts for the sirens head customisation options. I'm pretty happy with her aggressive look. Hell, I'm pretty happy with where all my characters are at the moment.
Concepts for the pipers head customisation options. Pretty quickly hit on a look I liked for a kinda 'default' head, but I quite like just about all of my options here. Especially the hood and mask, kinda creepy but kinda cool.
Meat thief head customisation concepts.
I'm happy with where I got to with the design of her body. Hopefully in rendering it somewhere down the track I'll bring out a bit more of the dishevelled, filthy look. Not too filthy. She's coherent enough to stick to basic personal grooming, but there's only so much she can do to clear off chunks of gore she's been stealing out of a bandits chest.
Concepts for the riot cops head customisation options.
So a new Borderlands game was announced along with a character that uses a shield as their action skill. I felt it in my bones, it was only a matter of time before that became an action skill.
I'm liking where I landed in regards to his armour. It feels like it's missing a few pieces which can be regained later through skillpoints. Perhaps one per tree or something.
I think this painting is done, not sure. I'll have to sit on it for a little while longer I suppose.

A nearly done concept for some sort of gigantic industrial utility truck thing. Trying to get my head around building concepts in SketchUp with this one.
One of the paintings I have going at the moment. Just about at the stage where I get sick of it but realise I'm only 30% done.
It feels pretty Dark Souls to me but was in fact inspired by hours of Rogue Legacy.
A bit of warmup for the day. I suppose I need to settle in for dozens of hours of rendering the fine details on the four or five paintings I have going at the moment but it's always nice to start doing some fast, loose creative stuff before that.
One hour of warmup...twelve hours of working on details you won't notice unless I don't work on them!
I'm currently working on a few paintings, even managed to accidentally destroy one of them by cropping it and then hitting save when I closed Photoshop. Oops!
Anyway, this is not that one. Probably still have many, many hours of noodling away on this one before it is complete.

Backstory
Native Pandoran, his lifestyle as a drifter has kept him out of harms way. His natural response to threats has always been to lie low and keep moving so when Hyperion came he immediately recognised not only the threat they posed but the dangers in gathering in Sanctuary – it was only a matter of time before the city suffered the losses it did. Now, with the Hyperion threat gone he has seen an opportunity to keep moving by sticking with the vault hunters for a time as they travel from planet to planet, vault to vault.
Play Style
As the name suggests, a survivor. He is well equipped to deal with enemies at long to mid range. The survivalist has not lived through the hardships of Pandora by rushing headlong on to combat. He is well supplied and prepared to fight a war of attrition – nobody has a larger selection of canned goods and ammunition on hand.
Action Skill
Supplies. Deploys a source of resupply for all allies, initially ammo but upgradeable to a wider range of uses.
Melee Weapon
A shovel. Upgrade slots come in the form of new heads, shafts and grips.
Class mod
Different brands and varieties of canned goods stuffed into a bag or pouch give different class/party bonuses. Beans give you gas.
Skills
Generally focused on replenishing ammunition and health with some skills putting an emphasis on keeping enemies at a comfortable distance. Perhaps a skill to add resupply bags/crates to any vehicle he enters.
Moved house, went without internet for three weeks. Started a few illustrations in that time, here is one of those (unfinished) paintings.
