things that bother me today: the fact that bisexualism can be considered entirely inconsequential if the bisexual person is dating a member of the opposite sex (at the time) is infuriating.  “so you’re straight.” “no, bisexual.” “but you’re dating a guy.” “yes, but i would also date a girl.” “so you’re just straight right now.” “no. ugh...no. why is this so hard for you to understand? a bisexual person is bisexual on a plane, in a car, in france, dating a man, dating a woman, at the supermarket, wherever they are or whatever the fuck the are doing. it is not a state contingent on the genitals they are currently playing with.”

Spent about 5 hours on campus finishing client interview recordings and accompanying paperwork. Went downtown to Fantasy to buy new toys and an outfit. Now we watch a horror film and work out this week’s frustrations.

So, I'm trying to learn spanish. I'm generally rubbish with language - even after 4 years of lessons my French is barely passable. Like, it's immediately apparent it's not my native language. Anyway. I need Spanish as it comes up much more often in my field of work. French literally only made an appearance once when we had a client from northern africa. But I'm working on the basic lessons and I keep getting caught up on words with multiple means and stumbling over redundancies. I think; wtf, spanish?! But then I remember our language is full of silent k's, p's, and l's and then I resigned myself to stumbling through all verbal interactions for the rest of my life.

when i ask my professor to explain part of an assignment but she only rewords something from the syllabus that is equally vague.  so i glance at my cohort to see if they understood.
