So, I was a bit busy on my wedding day and didn’t get to thank you for coming in person but thank you. And thank you for all your help with the planning. I couldn’t have done any of it without you. Can you believe we’ve been married for almost a week now? It still doesn’t even seem real to me that you’re like officially stuck with me for the rest of your life. Like you took some vow to be with this weirdo forever in front of people. Amazing. I’ve been thinking though, since we didn’t really have a honeymoon we should go somewhere really cool in a few weeks, like somewhere in Europe or something. I don’t think my mom’s ever leaving our house so I bet I could get her to stay and watch them while we go explore. @jbgyllenhls
Since I have been back in Miami for a while, I was glad to finally catch up with my uncle. We actually sat outside and did some music for a while. It felt like how things were when we were touring a few years ago. I am looking forward to doing that again.

That sounds like so much fun! I’ve had my mom in town the past couple weeks, she was helping with last minute wedding things and then watched the boys for us so we could have some married people time away from them for a couple days. But it’s always nice to catch up with our family. I hope you’ve been enjoying your time with your uncle.

what’s one obsession or addiction you’ve gained in your free time? i’ve recently gotten really into this DS game called scribblenauts, it’s a puzzle game where you can summon things or change the world based of words you spell out. anyway, hey guys, it’s taylor, who are you doing these days? what are you up to?
I’ve been playing Animal Crossing. It started out as a partnership kind of deal and now I can’t put the game down. I’ll have to check out Scribblenauts though, it sounds pretty fun. I love a good puzzle game, especially when I can summon things. Hey girly! I’m doing well, got married over the weekend, no biggie.
I didn’t know Wolverine was going to be in Captain Marvel, and now I’m curious about the story. I also didn’t know I played him? Wow, my agents really know how to forget to tell me. It isn’t the first time I plan on playing someone without knowing… Anyway, saw that you got married? Congratulations! That’s a big deal. Where’s the honeymoon taking you two? @brielarsonhq
You know, I often find out I’m playing people I didn’t know about through the interwebs too. It’s really annoying, our agents really need to get on this. I saw that you’re going to be my wolverine though! I had no idea we were going x-men cross over so soon, but I’ll support it. I think we’ll have a good time together. Thank you! It was a pretty big deal, yeah. I’m not sure yet. I’ve kind of been dragging my feet when it comes to leaving the kiddos. So right now honeymoon is at home.

Jake had thought spending the night away from each other would be a breeze but how wrong he was. It was only one damn night and he’d missed her so much. But, he knew all he had to do was get through that night and tomorrow he’d be a married man spending his life with his soulmate. It was still surreal they were at this point. Before last year they were avoiding each other and weren’t even talking but here they were about to vow to spend the rest of their lives together. Jake stood while his mother fixed his hair for him. Luckily enough, he’d managed to get an haircut so it wasn’t as messy as it had been for the last few weeks. His mom had been fussing over him all day gushing about how he was finally getting married. He was pretty sure she thought this day would never come.
Once he was ready, he and his best man made their way down to wait. Was he nervous? A little bit but most of all he was excited. All Jake had wanted for so long was to be married and have a family and now he was getting it. Before, he’d never found the right girl but now he had and she’d been under his nose the whole time. As the music started to play signalling that the bride was on her way, he took a sharp breath. This was it.
The biggest smile was plastered on his face as he saw her. She looked beautiful. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was. “You look… incredible,” he said in awe once she’d approached him. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. It wasn’t until the officiant started talking did he finally look away. Although, he wasn’t really listening that much. He just wanted to get to the part where he made Brie his wife. Finally, it got to his turn to say those two famous words. “I do,” he said quickly without any hesitation whatsoever. A few quiet echoes of laughter could be heard from people attending at how fast the two of them had answered.
A grin stretched her face as she finally stood up next to Jake. “You look pretty incredible too.” She chuckled quietly. The rest of the ceremony went by pretty quickly and when it was time for the kiss, Brie could hardly wait before her lips were on his. It was official now and she couldn’t help the excitement and maybe some of the nerves of the large crowd watching them.
As they walked back down the aisle to the reception hall, she leaned over and gave Jake a soft kiss on the check. “I can’t believe we’re finally married. It seems like this day took so long to finally get here.” In reality their engagement hadn’t been that long, but with the years of history and build up to this moment it seemed like they’d been waiting a lifetime for this moment.
Brielarson: Today surrounded by friends and family, I got to marry my best friend. I got to make a promise in front of all these loved ones that I will love this man for the rest of my life, which seems pretty easy. I mean, if you’ve ever met my husband you know how easy it is to love him. I’m the luckiest lady in the whole world to get to call him my husband, my best friend, and my baby daddy. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us today, it seriously meant the world to us. @jbgyllenhls I love you and I can’t wait to start this next chapter with you and our boys.

Say You Will | Jake & Brie
Having spent the night apart, which had been a cute idea in theory, Brie was anxious to get her ass down that aisle and see Jake. She really couldn’t believe that today was their wedding day. After all the ups and downs and the friendship almost lost all that time ago, she would’ve never believed it if she’d been told this is how her life was going to play out. Fixing her dress one final time, she couldn’t help but have the superficial thought of being glad the baby weight was completely gone. This was her dream wedding after all, she was allowed to think that today of all days.
A knock at the door indicated it was time and she grinned at her mom as she followed her bridesmaids out of the suite. The Science center had been a last minute open venue, considering the very busy wedding season, but it had turned into the ideal location. Especially with how nice the weather was today - perfect for an outside wedding. The walk from her bridal suite to the ceremony location felt like a lifetime. Once she’d made her way to the start of the aisle and saw Jake waiting for her at the end, all nerves and anxious thoughts left her mind. Not that she’d had a lot of them.
She knew she wanted to spend her life with Jake ages ago, even if she’d been trying hard not to admit it. Once she made her way to him and her mom officially gave her away, she squeezed Jake’s hand. “You look handsome” She whispered. It was always so funny to her how formal weddings had to be, and how you couldn’t really speak unless spoken to. Once the officiant asked her if she took Jake to be her husband she barely let him finish before cutting him off. “I do.” @jbgyllenhls

I actually went through some time thinking about going back into music. I mean, music is in my life. I love to sing. But it hasn’t been professionally part of my life for 24 years. I don’t know if I could actually go back to doing all that though. Maybe it should be something that stays in my past.

If it’s something you truly care about you should do it. I used to have a music career too, awhile ago. And now I’ve been slowly getting back into singing, even if it’s just been covers. But it’s been nice. Nothing should stay int he past unless you aren’t passionate about it.

I always forget you’re a race car guy. I’m sure it felt great to get back out there and do what you love. I’m in Orlando right now with Jake and the kids for the next few days. Kind of just taking a bit of a breather before our big day. What about you? Doing anything fun besides racing?
