what’s the weather like where you are in the world? it’s been kinda cool lately but before that it was really hot, then it got cool, it feels kinda cool. however it’s starting to get kinda hot again. the weather can be so bipolar that i’m never sure if i need my ac on or not. should i wear short sleeves or long sleeves? it’s so confusing sometimes.

I don’t know, I haven’t been outside since I got married. Once you get married, you’re not allowed to leave the house ever again. It’s somewhere in the wedding contract. Nah, it’s been pretty up and down. I could go out in a nice sweater then five minutes later it’s so hot I almost melt into a muddle. I don’t trust the outside. It’s why I’m a hermit and Brie has to drag me out most of the time.

jakegyllenhaal waking up today and looking over to my wife was the most incredible feeling. Yesterday was magical, perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m so lucky to be able to call this incredible woman my wife. She’s my best friend, soulmate and the person who I couldn’t live without. She’s an incredible mom to our boys and even now I still fall in love with her more every single day @brielarsonhq. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our special day with us. Now, excuse me while I go stare at my wife some more with my permanent heart eyes.

Say You Will | Jake & Brie

Having spent the night apart, which had been a cute idea in theory, Brie was anxious to get her ass down that aisle and see Jake. She really couldn’t believe that today was their wedding day. After all the ups and downs and the friendship almost lost all that time ago, she would’ve never believed it if she’d been told this is how her life was going to play out. Fixing her dress one final time, she couldn’t help but have the superficial thought of being glad the baby weight was completely gone. This was her dream wedding after all, she was allowed to think that today of all days.

A knock at the door indicated it was time and she grinned at her mom as she followed her bridesmaids out of the suite. The Science center had been a last minute open venue, considering the very busy wedding season, but it had turned into the ideal location. Especially with how nice the weather was today - perfect for an outside wedding. The walk from her bridal suite to the ceremony location felt like a lifetime. Once she’d made her way to the start of the aisle and saw Jake waiting for her at the end, all nerves and anxious thoughts left her mind. Not that she’d had a lot of them.

She knew she wanted to spend her life with Jake ages ago, even if she’d been trying hard not to admit it. Once she made her way to him and her mom officially gave her away, she squeezed Jake’s hand. “You look handsome” She whispered. It was always so funny to her how formal weddings had to be, and how you couldn’t really speak unless spoken to. Once the officiant asked her if she took Jake to be her husband she barely let him finish before cutting him off. “I do.” @jbgyllenhls

Jake had thought spending the night away from each other would be a breeze but how wrong he was. It was only one damn night and he’d missed her so much. But, he knew all he had to do was get through that night and tomorrow he’d be a married man spending his life with his soulmate. It was still surreal they were at this point. Before last year they were avoiding each other and weren’t even talking but here they were about to vow to spend the rest of their lives together. Jake stood while his mother fixed his hair for him. Luckily enough, he’d managed to get an haircut so it wasn’t as messy as it had been for the last few weeks. His mom had been fussing over him all day gushing about how he was finally getting married. He was pretty sure she thought this day would never come.

Once he was ready, he and his best man made their way down to wait. Was he nervous? A little bit but most of all he was excited. All Jake had wanted for so long was to be married and have a family and now he was getting it. Before, he’d never found the right girl but now he had and she’d been under his nose the whole time. As the music started to play signalling that the bride was on her way, he took a sharp breath. This was it.

The biggest smile was plastered on his face as he saw her. She looked beautiful. He couldn’t believe how lucky he was. “You look... incredible,” he said in awe once she’d approached him. He couldn’t take his eyes off her. It wasn’t until the officiant started talking did he finally look away. Although, he wasn’t really listening that much. He just wanted to get to the part where he made Brie his wife. Finally, it got to his turn to say those two famous words. “I do,” he said quickly without any hesitation whatsoever. A few quiet echoes of laughter could be heard from people attending at how fast the two of them had answered.

You’ve heard of crazy cat ladies right? well is there such thing as crazy plant ladies? I just bought yet another 6 plants for my apartment, on top of the other 60 I already have! My entire place is a green house, I swear! But I did buy the cutest plants and pots to put them in, just to add to the cute aesthetic I have going on at my place. I guess for every plant I buy, the more I have to look after them, they’re like my very own…high maintenance children. Anyhoozles, how are we all? @hchqstarters

i mean if anyone should be in the next musical adaption about a singer, it should be you. wasn’t rocketman just brilliant? i have always been a fan of elton, but after that it just goes beyond anything. after that, go with tiny dancer. so good. we had we will rock you. we had rocketman. feels like we have to continue down the british route. rod stewart? mick jagger? i think you could pull that off.

Right? It’s honestly so offensive that I haven’t even been considered for one yet. Get it the fuck together, Hollywood. I’m out here begging and waiting by the phone just for someone to let me sing in a movie. Rocketman was incredible! Taron nailed it. No idea how that dude didn’t even get nominated for an Oscar. I thought he should’ve but nobody ever listens to me. How about Ozzy Osbourne? I think I’d nail that.

Oh, man. My sister kept bugging us about doing an engagement shoot but I managed to worm my way out of it. I think we’ll just save all the photos for the actual wedding. The wedding planning is stressing me the hell out, though. Why are these things so hard to plan? Will the support group consist of us meeting up and drinking all the stress away?

Musicals about Elton John and ABBA. Jake, you’re my favourite. You know what’d be pretty dope though? Having Dear Evan Hansen and Gigi as a crossover and have you back as Evan and myself as Gigi. We’d rock it. Also, if Archer and Halle are to have another playdate, we’re totally playing Your Song in the background and reenacting the Moulin Rouge scene but obviously the Rocketman version of Your Song.

I thought I was already your favourite? Let’s do it. Or how about we make a list of every musical we know and do a combination of them all? I like that idea then that way we get to play our our musical dreams. Duh, of course! I miss Zac so I’ll visit and bring the boys.

Rocketman was such a good movie. Elton John is a legend and I know he wants to retire, but he should never. Does it put your baby to sleep? If it does then you’ll be the Elton of baby singers. I know I can’t sing so I’ll never be in a musical. I’ll try and sing and I think the windows will break because I am just that bad. I can’t think of who else should have a movie, I know there’s a ton of people out there..

Elton is the greatest. He’s such a talented dude and he’s been through so much shit in his life so I’m glad he’s happy now. He deserves it. Man, I wish. Archer just laughs at me and Heath is too young to know what I’m really doing so he stares at me thinking I’m an alien or something. I bet you’re not that bad! I’m good at singing but dancing? No chance. I hate that shit. Maybe I’ll just have to write my own musical.

Rocketman looks amazing, I haven’t had a chance to sit down at watch it yet though. Please don’t judge me. I’ve been going through a lot. Oh no, I think Brie can tolerate a lot but if she has to hear that song for the rest of time she might go crazy. I feel for you. Maybe try listening to some Rare or something to get your mind off Rocketman. Have you put yourself out there for musicals? I think you’d be an amazing addition to any musical and I’m sad this hasn’t happened yet. You’re probably too young to play one of the dads in Momma Mia, but fuck it. I’d still be down for you and Meryl to end up together. Let’s see, there’s not a lot of icons left who don’t have movies but we could figure something out. I feel like you should be in some kind of rock and roll biopic.

I’m judging you. I’m judging you so hard right now. Go watch it, it’ll solve all your problems. Ashley, let’s be real here, Brie went crazy the day she decided to marry me because no sane person would’ve said yes. I mean, I’ve done Broadway and sang on stage so it’s about time I got to do it in a movie. Me and Meryl would look cute together. Let’s just make a movie about Ozzy Osbourne and hire me to play him.

You know when you watch something and fall absolutley in love with everything about it? Yeah, well, I watched Rocketman this weekend and my whole life has changed. I can’t stop singing Crocodile Rock. Like, literally can’t stop. It’s all day, twenty-four seven. It’s going to tear my family apart but that’s the risk you have to take for rock n roll, y’know? Maybe I’ll switch it up and throw a little Saturday Night’s Alright in there just to spice things up. When will someone hire me to be in a musical? Why wasn’t I one of the dads in Mamma Mia? Extended breaks aren’t good for me, I swear, I downloaded TikTok and now it’s all that I use. The videos on the app aren’t long but I can still spend so long on it? It’s crazy. Also, all of the videos I see are people cooking and baking and it all looks amazing. However, when I try it, things never seem to work out. I just want pretty looking cupcakes, is that too much to ask? Also, hello, I’m Lily.

I didn’t even know what TikTok was until one of my friends kept sending me them and then I was confused about it for maybe a week before I thought about making an account of my own. I fought against it, though. I’m too old. Nobody wants to see an almost forty year old embarrassing himself on the internet. I do it enough in person. Hi, Lily! I’m Jake.

I may have made way too many snacks. Like, enough to feed a small army. Once I got in the kitchen I just couldn’t stop and we’ve got dips and cookies for days. Please either help me eat all of them or help me put them into cute little care packages to send out to our friends and family. You’re an even better cook than me and we all know I’m right up there at Gordon Ramsay level. That’s a good idea! oh man, well I don’t know how to explain this to you but sleep is the thing your kids are supposed to do, or so I’m told. it’s that thing that princess Aurora does you know? when she touches the spinning wheel but I highly would not recommend achieving sleep by pricking your finger on a needle, does not work. my question is, how are you not a Disney princess already? I can see it now, you’d be so graceful and majestic frolicking in a field of flowers, a deer by your side and bunnies hopping around your feet. CHASE YOUR DREAMS my good man, chase after them.

I’m just lucky to have Brie around or I wouldn’t have a mind to lose. It’d be completely gone. Have you pricked your finger on a needle, Ian? Is this how you know? Don’t worry, you can tell me. I’ll keep it a secret. Right? I feel like I’ve been robbed. I’m the epitome of a Disney princess. It’s about time I got my own Disney movie.
