I realllly would like to know what happened to Misa’s two weeks. Cause I think Will’s trip has potentially been on the calendar since end of season (I’ll go out to van for a week sounded so definitive, like those plans were official). Did misa not realize the plans overlapped? Did Mack uninvite him to the second week because he missed time with Will? Most likely, but also most boring: did Mack’s EA Sports commitments end up eating up a week that was supposed to be training time with Misa & Dickie?

I can get behind blaming Will for his mean girl tendencies but I’d also like to propose that it may be Mack. Will loves to be part of a group, I don’t think he’d mind more of a party hang vibe with the team. But I think Mack feels so differently about Will he has certain things he only wants to do with Will, only wants to show certain sides of himself to Will. Interesting scenario with him going into the captaincy. these two really just need to live together so they can have lots of special boybestfriend time and still have time to spend on team bonding.

but do we also consider that when mis and dick were training with mack, gavs was also there? so technically mack wouldn’t mind having people training with him. now with will in van, my biggest question mark is why would mis and dick not grab the opportunity to build up chemistry with their teammates for another week? mis’s planned two week stay? why would it matter if their schedules would overlap if its purely for training? clearly they both dont mind training with other people but there’s this transparent line of singling themselves out from their teammates (younger ones to be specific) ever since their rookie year. unless someone or whoever it is put a period to this and said wait mis you can only train here for a week not two okay? after the seventh day pack up your bags and sashey away. also kinda crazy that when will arrived, mack’s really all over the place like rushing to leave the rink and getting spotted to places together. idk what i’m reaching here but it definitely is interesting how hockey for them is trying to get better and better together!!

when you think about it, still kinda funny to me when mis said yep we’ll be there with mack and the guys for two weeks — to train to spend time to bond deeper to exchange spit with each other and to have fun!! all without mentioning will. and its interesting to me how the wacklins have created a dynamic where the guys have caught on and said ‘oops i think they prefer to be alone rather than spend it with us or yikes i think the door’s sealed tight we’re not welcomed time to go chop chop’. poor mis, he finally got his much-awaited turn to monopolize future c's attention, only for it to be cut short because future c's favorite person showed up.

not only matty b was there but pat brisson’s (mack’s agent) son was there too. I wonder if it’s something as simple as he’s mack’s friend so he was tagging along or if it’s something deeper like willmack met with pat brisson in vancouver to talk about their contracts, maybe will is going to mack’s agency? even if will stays with his agent, he could still be talking to mack’s agent so they match the amount of contract years right? it’s still interesting to me that mack is waiting to sign and maybe is going wait until next year to sign. people saying he’s betting on himself makes no sense to me because he could ask for 20 million and the sharks would give it to him. so the logical reason mack would be waiting to sign is because will is going to sign by the end of 2026 or start of next year and mack wants to sign the same day will does

with how these two are nearing borderline codependency disorder, i wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. the sharks are definitely curating will and mack’s new contracts to perfection or else it’ll be a case of hit or miss and the wacklins have to make sure that they get what they want and by want, what they both want as a unit in the long run. and a part of my mind palace wants to believe that mack (lets be real mack has the upperhand and benefits of being the face of the franchise and the generational 1oa that he is) is waiting for will’s new contract to see what he can do or adjust because he wants to be on par with will.
